General Mechanical Engineer - Opportunity for OT at 1.5X - Full-time

SUMMARY: A Mechanical Engineer applies knowledge of engineering principles required to install, conduct routine preventive maintenance on highly sophisticated, complex production machinery, analyze performance results, repair, and maintain such machinery and equipment in a 675,000 square foot turkey processing facility processing over 17 million turkeys each year under the direction of one or more engineers. • Create and analyze designs, run simulations and test how the equipment functions post-repairs and system manipulation, and interacts with connected systems. • Analyze, diagnose, and recommend solutions for mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures on equipment. • Monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform timely repairs on various mechanical equipment within the facility, including but not limited to, conveyor systems, sensors, safety guards, elevators, and/or catwalks. • Interpret work orders and specifications to determine if machines and equipment and recommend replacement, repair, or general maintenance as needed. • Carry out routine inspections of equipment and systems following established standard operating procedures and checklists to ensure optimal performance. • Review instructions and interpret blueprints to ensure that project plans follow test specifications and procedures and meet objectives. • Research, produce, and assemble mechanical parts for production machinery and equipment. • Investigate, recognize, diagnose equipment failures to identify faulty operation, and recommend remedies to determine corrective action by interpreting complex blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams. • Design/ Redesign, Assemble/Disassemble, Install/Transport industrial mechanical equipment using analysis, prototypes, and computer-aided design. • Follow and adhere to food and workplace safety policies and procedures established by Butterball, LLC. • Communicate, at a high level, with plant operations to ensure the machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty/function satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s Degree in related field. • Minimum of two years of experience as a mechanical technician in a related industry. • Must achieve Minimum Effectiveness Level (MEL) within 3 years of Hire Date. • Extensive knowledge of mechanical designs, installations, maintenance and repairs. • Ability to solve problems by using theorical knowledge in the field of discipline and critical thinking skills. • Ability to work independently to make decisions under the direct supervision of a professional in the field. • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a time sensitive environment. • Ability to direct clearly and concisely with excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Basic computer skills. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Able to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, and work orders in the English language preferred. Bilingual ability in both spoken and written Spanish and English is preferred, but not required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Must be able to work with all types of electrical equipment and tools. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The duties of this job requires a person to stoop, bend, work off of knees, climb ladders and work in high areas up to 130 feet, work in dark areas and work in confined spaces after trained to do so. Must be able to climb ladder and wear fall protection as necessary. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. NORMAL WORK HOURS: The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. Overtime and changes in schedule will be required as special circumstance arise. Senior Maritime Engineer

Zero Point seeks an experienced Senior Maritime Engineer to guide research and development (R&D) on a variety of industrial maritime systems and processing equipment. This Senior Engineer performs a variety of tasks, will provide consultation and direction on complex projects and will be a top-level contributor/specialist. Some travel to customer facilities is expected. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Serve as Senior Maritime Engineer to control development of assigned R&D technology • Drive engineering project execution, develop and recommend technical guidance, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues • Provide subject matter expertise with system analysis, design, delivery, verification, and troubleshooting of designated system. • Generate technical documents, such as test plans and procedures • Coordinate cross-team efforts spanning internal customers and external partners. • Interfacing with external agencies supporting systems engineering, architecture, and/or design • Managing Change Control across several systems. • Scope the Industrial Control System Hardware and Software Requirements for a given industrial process • Write specifications manufacturers will use to prepare labor and material cost estimates MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's Degree in Systems or Electrical Engineering is preferred • Chemical or Mechanical Engineering will be considered • Must be familiar with Industrial motors, electric generators, and electrical systems • Must have ability to read and understand engineering drawings and electrical schematics • Experience with marine/ship systems design and engineering preferred • Experience with various vehicles/boats and shop spaces is a Plus • Experience with FAT testing marine electrical and automation systems is a Plus • Experience with hydraulic schematics is a Plus • 2+ years' experience as an engineering leader, project/program manager • 5 years' experience is required / 8 to 10 years' experience is preferred • Demonstrated understanding of fundamental engineering concepts/principles/theories and standard engineering methodologies • Ability to clearly articulate, verbally and in writing, new concepts and capabilities to the team and customers • Must be US Citizen • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS-SCI clearance.
