Engineer II - Quality

Job Responsibilities Job Description This is a full-time, onsite position based at our location in Gastonia, NC. • Ensure customer specific requirements are being met and is the interface between the customer and internal functions on quality matters for company providing air filtration products • Lead the relationship with the customer’s quality responsible after Start of Production (SOP) • Lead and develop a team of Quality Auditors • Organize and support customers’ quality-related visits and audits • In case of an audit finding, organizes the investigation, correction or corrective action and verification • Proactively visit the customer’s site as needed or requested • Work with the customer’s portal for quality related topics • Monitor and report the site-specific view of quality on the customers’ portals • Enter all quality requested data to customers’ portal and answer the customer requests • Advise and be the expert on the use of customer specific requirements • Review and submit customer requested documentation such as requalification and data • Discuss with customer the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submission requirements in case of changes due to Technical Change Management (TCM) and coordinate the customer PPAP submission • Manage the deviation process with the customer • In case of an internal production-conformance, steer the evaluation of the non-conformity based on defined and agreed customer specifications • In case of a customer complaint (0 km and field), initiate the problem-solving process with the relevant team • In cases of a formal complaint, review and submit the required documentation to the customer and ensure timeliness of submission based on customer’s expectation • In case of field complaints, enter the field data into SAP WM, negotiate technical factors, and reject claims and initiates alerts • Support continuous improvement and corrective action activities of quality related processes • Ensure the right application of Quality tools and expertise • Stop any process or product delivery in case of a serious non-conformance of customer expectations, safety or environmental risks Requirements Education: • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related field Required Experience and Skills: • Three (3) years of experience as a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Launch Engineer, or closely related occupation in a manufacturing industry • Three (3) years of experience with Quality Management Systems; Quality control tools including Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Control Plan, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and 8D; ERP software; Ishikawa methodology; International Automotive Task Force (IATF) 16949 audits; and customer portals • Two (2) years of experience with Q-Das qs-STAT Additional Requirement: • Up to 10% travel is required to our company distribution centers located in South Carolina and North Carolina and to unanticipated customer sites located throughout the U.S.

Employ simulation tools for testing and validating system designs and modifications. • Maintenance and Upgrades: Ensure the continuous operation of mechatronic systems by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating system upgrades or replacements to improve performance. • Process Improvement: Collaborate with production teams to assess existing manufacturing processes, identify opportunities for automation, and propose technical improvements to reduce costs and increase throughput. • Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on the use of automated systems and new equipment. Help resolve issues related to machinery, controls, and system malfunctions. • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation for system designs, programming, and maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. • Collaboration and Project Management: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to develop project timelines, manage tasks, and deliver projects on time.
