Responsibilities • Create engineering drawing packages using CAD for release to production. • Design and validate parts, components, tooling, and fixturing using CAD that fulfill regulatory and quality requirements. • Analyze problems or deficiencies and develop effective robust solutions to resolve them. • Create and verify technical documentation such as operational manuals, technical support, and standard operational procedures. • Provide technical support to Sales, Service, and Operations teams. • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. • Support ERP implementation through accurate product BOM management and system integration. • Handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet agreed-upon deadlines and quality standards for deliverables. Essential Skills • A.A.S. in engineering OR Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. • 3-5 years of prior experience in engineering. • Proficiency in Solid Edge and SolidWorks. • MS Office product knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Experience with Epicor ERP. • Ability to responsibly handle confidential information. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in equipment and machine design. • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication. • Experience in design and manufacturing of heavy equipment. • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and their implementation. • Proficiency in engineering design of parts and fixtures. • Strong communication skills. • Experience in sheet metal and large assembly design. Work Environment This position is onsite at a manufacturing facility. The candidate will spend roughly 70% of their time doing CAD work and 30% on the manufacturing floor.
