Mechanic

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team, responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, experience with automotive diagnostics, and the ability to work on both light and heavy machinery. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, and farm machinery. • Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools. • Conduct repairs on transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC components. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks. • Execute tire services, brake repairs, alignment adjustments, and shocks & struts replacements. • Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating heavy equipment such as forklift and tractor-trailer units. • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle maintenance needs. Skills • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair and maintenance. • Familiarity with dealership operations is a plus. • Proficient in working with industrial equipment and heavy machinery operation. • Ability to read schematics and perform electrical troubleshooting. • Experience in diesel engine repair is highly desirable. • Competence in fabrication techniques including soldering and welding. • Capable of performing heavy lifting as required during repairs. • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail. • Strong communication skills for effective customer service interactions. Job Summary Monro is hiring experienced automotive technicians and general service technicians to join our team. As a technician, you will be responsible for performing routine vehicle repairs and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.
