As a Mechanical Designer II in our Chapel Hill office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all. Here's why we need you: In this role, you will use your experience to convert system design concepts into specific layouts by interpreting information set forth in basis of design as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research. Expertise of our most successful Mechanical Designer II: Associates Degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or HVAC Design or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience in computer aided design. Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. Ability to work with engineering and project management to apply design codes and specification requirements. Hospital Maintenance Engineer

Overview Hospital Maintenance Engineer requires a diversified skill set to perform a variety of tasks in order to maintain the hospital and to perform Preventative Maintenance ticket items that cannot be completed during normal working hours. Responsibilities Uses an appropriate problem-solving approach to plan performance of service. • Repairs HVAC/mechanical/refrigeration systems either by replacing or renewing. • Inspects and test electrical circuitry or equipment as needed. • Estimates quantities on materials needed to do job and prepare requisitions. • Troubleshoot and repair faulty electrical and mechanical components to ensure proper operation of equipment throughout all parts of the hospital. • Read and comprehend blueprints, technical manuals and other publications for proper maintenance and operation of equipment. Provides services with consideration of the physical, psychosocial, cultural/spiritual, and age specific needs of those served. • Prevents system failures by ensuring that proper preventive and Corrective Maintenance programs are established and functioning properly. • Provides necessary direction to rectify adverse situations or conditions. Use equipment/supplies correctly. • Uses monitoring/metering test equipment properly. • Provides safety checks on equipment in an appropriate manner. • Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on all HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other hospital equipment as needed. Uses appropriate safety and infection control measures. • Enforces policies and procedures of the Facility Services Department and FirstHealth of the Carolinas. • Uses appropriate personal protective equipment when necessary. • Follows FirstHealth of the Carolinas Safety Manual. • Complies with FirstHealth of the Carolinas Infection Control Plan. • Attends all scheduled training/educational programs pertaining to job position. Qualifications • High school diploma/GED preferred or technical training equivalent, plus a minimum (5) years of specialized training/experience in the electrical and mechanical field. Training in specific items of equipment such as boilers, chillers, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and building automation systems is very desirable. Must have a valid NC driver's license with a good driving history. • Able to perform a variety of changing duties, able to adhere closely to established standards. Verbal ability is necessary to communicate with workers and other members of hospital staff.
