Industrial Maintenance Technician - Winston-Salem Packaging Solutions The Opportunity: As an Industrial Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment. What you need to succeed: • Proven experience in the mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas. • Experience in basic electrical troubleshooting. • Computer experience/operation. • Troubleshoot with or up to PLC. • High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required. • Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work. • Must be highly safety conscious. • High school diploma or equivalent experience required. • Apply advanced skills in the use of hand tools both powered and manual. • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as drill press, lathe, or welding equipment. • Operate maintenance vehicles including but not limited to; aerial lifts, personnel transport vehicles, and forklifts. • Independently perform mechanical maintenance, repair, installation and testing functions on all but the most sophisticated equipment. • Use electronic calibration devices. • Use control or regulating devices to adjust or maintain industrial machinery. • Conduct tests in order to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical equipment. • Maintain or repair small engines or motors. • Operate various tools, instruments and equipment used in the testing and repairs of mechanical equipment. • Repair or replace malfunctioning or worn mechanical equipment. • Work independently in the absence of supervision. • Understand and follow oral or written instructions. • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. #PackagingSolutions #JoinSmurfitWestrock

The Superintendent (Supt) is responsible for the oversight and management of all field labor as well as coordination, collaboration, and support of internal company staff. The project manager will primarily be responsible for project documentation, high-level scheduling, and procurement, and will be available to you as a resource, along with any centralized shared service that you need, including preconstruction, safety, quality, recruiting/training, HR, etc. Training & Development • Train GF and Foreman on processes for disciplinary action as needed in the field for tardiness, absenteeism, lack of production, etc. Support GF and Foreman when disciplinary action is taken. • Implement GF and Foreman training program for field processes and ensure these processes are being followed. • Conduct and maintain detailed performance evaluations of all GF and Foreman.
