Project Engineer

Location: Rockingham, NC Salary: $100,000.00 USD Annually - $120,000.00 USD Annually Description: Location: Rockingham, NC (Relocation expenses paid for) Department: Engineering / Capital Projects Reports To: Engineering Manager / Project Manager Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in the chemicals manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering capital and process improvement projects that enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity across our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, EHS, and procurement to define project scopes and deliverables. • Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines; track progress and report on key performance indicators. • Prepare technical specifications, review engineering designs, and coordinate with external vendors and contractors. • Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and internal safety protocols. • Support process optimization initiatives and troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with plant engineers. • Maintain accurate documentation including P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and project reports. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. • 3+ years of experience in project engineering within a chemical, petrochemical, or industrial manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of chemical processing equipment, piping systems, and instrumentation. • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Aspen). • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements. • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • PMP certification or Six Sigma training is a plus. Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve machinery and mechanical equipment and components such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve systems components. These activities may include: drive control components and I/O, Working knowledge of controls programming, Electrical sensors and field devices. • Perform basic fabrication and machining tasks: Set up and operate shop equipment and portable power tools, Set-up and perform basic stick/mig welding tasks, Use precision measuring equipment for machining. • Perform millwright tasks: Moving material, equipment and machinery using standard methods of lifting, rigging, hoisting, blocking, skidding and rolling. Level and tram rolls. • Perform Preventive, Predictive, and Emergency Maintenance inclusive of: Production equipment, material handling equipment, safety devices and facility utilities following standard procedures as indicated on PM route sheets or in equipment manuals, Set-up PM's on new equipment, Update PM's on existing equipment for frequency and job plan. • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Safety Practices at all times. • Perform any assigned duties that fall within the scope as defined by site management. Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED. • 3 years of Maintenance experience in Industrial/manufacturing environment. • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
