Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description The Mechanical Designer position is responsible for modeling and drawing generation of a wide range of mechanical hardware and components designed for use in elevator systems. The candidate should not only be adept at handling typical design tasks (modeling and detailing) but must be able to effectively communicate cross-functionally. The designer will be a member of the Design Services Group operating out of Florence, South Carolina, which is home to the North American System Elevator Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain operations. Responsibilities • Provide design support to internal and external customers. • Modify and develop new component solutions to increase product robustness. • Support and resolve engineering issues. • Develop component and system-level models and drawings. • Support cost reduction efforts. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.06/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Mechanical Engineer

We have an opening for a Mechanical Engineer to join our world-class team. The person we are looking for is passionate about safety, self-motivated, and driven to succeed in everything that they do. We are specifically looking for someone with an innate curiosity to work with our customers and help them to solve issues, design their unique solutions, and maintain optimal compliance and throughput. These designs can and will include utilizing pneumatics, hydraulics, and any other such system components necessary to provide solutions for our clients needs. We need someone with 3-5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on design, but we will consider less depending on co-ops etc. You are expected to be familiar with equipment and layout drawings; have hands-on work ethic and capability; and, knowledge of industry standards and requirements including local, state, and Federal laws and Code/Guidelines.
