Mechanical Engineer III

We are seeking a talented and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our team, driving the design, development, and validation of mechanical components, hydraulic systems, and electro-mechanical integrations. The ideal candidate will apply Agile and Lean methodologies within a global, collaborative environment, utilizing advanced engineering analysis and simulation tools to optimize performance and reliability. This role requires expertise in material selection, set-based design approaches, and DFx principles to ensure cost-effective, manufacturable, and assembly-friendly solutions. If you are a proactive project leader with a passion for building prototypes, managing schedules, and working closely with international suppliers and partners, we want you to help us bring groundbreaking products from concept to reality. Job Description: Mechanical Engineer – Pneumatic Installation Responsibilities • Represent the pneumatic team and support vehicle builds at plants and workshops. • Resolve queries or issues reported by the Manufacturing Team during the build process. • Contact responsible engineers and seek technical assistance when necessary to address issues reported by other cross-functional teams. • Lead and support design activities related to sheet metal brackets. • Lead and support CAD module documentation efforts, • Lead and support line number documentation and corrections. • Release design solutions in PDM • Lead and support Product Issue log PIL resolution both in project phases and maintenance. • Lead and support Product change request PCR management within the project. • Regularly review progress and status with the group manager, technical lead, and module lead. • Lead XF discussions as required. • Accountable for QDCCF, driving solutions through all stages of implementation. Competence and Software Knowledge • Proficiency in pneumatic schematics. • Strong expertise in sheet metal bracket design. • Thorough understanding of GD&T. • Knowledge of braking systems and standards, specifically FMVSS 127. • Experience with CREO, particularly in piping, assembly, part, and sheet metal modules. • Knowledge of pneumatic components, fittings, tubes, connectors, valves, installation, and routing. • Experience in vehicle packaging and installation. • Understanding of truck environment and product knowledge. • Experience in handling suppliers. • Excellent communication and networking skills. • Problem-solving abilities. • Result-oriented, accountable, and structured approach. • Proactive mindset.
