Job Description ROLE OVERVIEW To service and support manufacturing operations in the form of maximizing production output via expedient machine repair, procurement of repair parts, preventive maintenance, safety and maintaining building systems. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting. You will work closely with other team members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our facilities. COMPENSATION • $34-$42/hour based on skill set with $1.20 night shift premiums and 1.5x pay on Sundays for the 2-2-3 schedule! SCHEDULE OPTIONS • 2-2-3 Rotating 12-Hour Shift (rotate every two weeks - 1/2 the year off!) • 2-2-3 Straight Nights 12-Hour Shift • Monday-Friday 8-Hour Shift (2-10 pm) BENEFITS: Start day one of employment! • Health & Wellness: Health Insurance, Pharmacy Coverage, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Supplemental Life Insurance & Dependent Life Insurance, Short Term and Long-Term Disability Coverage, Confidential Employee Assistance Program, Wellness Rewards Program • Retirement: 8% $1 for $1 401(k) match • Training & Education: Tuition Reimbursement WHAT YOU GET TO DO • Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities. • Performs necessary repairs on equipment • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues. • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment. • Perform routine maintenance and inspections. • Creates and understands the work order process using SAP. • Problem solves issues concerning equipment operation and manufacturing processes where these relate to maximizing output. • Involvement in developmental project work including working with R&D, manufacturing and outside equipment and parts vendors. • Functions as part of the technical resources for the on-site staff. • Knowledge of procedures, work instructions and associated forms as required by the Key Area Leader. WHAT WE VALUE • Good communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal. • Experience with shop tools. • Understand Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems. • Troubleshoot PLC’s. (Allen Bradley 500 and 5000 software) • Must be able to wire up to 480 volt systems for Industrial machinery. WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician or equivalent experience. • Valid electrician's license or certification preferred. • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and equipment. • PLC troubleshooting experience. • Previous experience in an industrial setting working with machine processes, schedules and a variety of individuals involved in the manufacturing environment necessary. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Conduct a variety of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical tests on systems, sub-assemblies, and parts to ensure functionality or diagnose issues. • Perform service tasks at various off-site locations as directed by management. • Read and interpret work orders, test manuals, specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedures and equipment to be used. • Prepare reports including daily findings, analysis, and solutions; complete travel, time sheets, and expense reports efficiently. • Troubleshoot issues using instrumentation, documentation, and knowledge to identify and correct problems. • Connect units to test equipment, such as motor generators, multimeters, or current injectors, and monitor performance. • Analyze test results to determine causes of failure and implement solutions, including replacing defective wiring and components. • Collaborate with engineering technicians, production staff, and others to resolve testing issues. • Assist with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures. • Travel to customer sites for startups, troubleshooting, or training on switchgear operations and equipment.
