Residential Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Residential Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications, and will be responsible for building and renovating electrical installations in residential settings. This role requires proficiency in blueprint reading, the use of voltmeters, and familiarity with a broad range of residential electric needs. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in compliance with local codes and regulations. • Build and renovate electrical installations as required for various projects. • Utilize voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues. • Work with high and low voltage systems safely and efficiently. • Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution. • Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems. • Perform frame carpentry as needed to support electrical installations. • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Requirements • Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent certification. • Proven experience as a Residential Journeyman Electrician • Strong knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems. • Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical diagrams. • Experience with logic controllers is preferred. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients. During your apprenticeship, you will learn how to: • Work from and read electrical and electronic schematic drawings • Layout, install, and maintain a wide variety of complex electrical equipment • Establish secondary distribution centers, balance loads, and wire circuits having a large number of units and connections • Completely lay out and/or wire a relocation, new, or rebuilt machine • Diagnose, remove, replace, and periodically maintain electrical motors • Ability to give detailed descriptions related to troubleshooting and repair of equipment on a PC based system • Perform all work in accordance with State and Local requirements. Required Qualifications: • Minimum 18 years of age The pay range for this position is $33.67-$39.99 hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
