The Role – Electrical Detailer The Electrical Detailer is responsible for identifying prefabrication opportunities and producing detailed designs to support efficient field installation. This role includes reviewing drawings, creating prefab documentation, coordinating material orders, and solving constructability issues. The detailer also supports field teams through training, promotes prefab culture, and contributes to project success by improving quality, safety, and labor efficiency. What You'll Do • Help build, design, and draw up prefab assemblies. • Work to identify prefab opportunities for each project. • Order material and arrange delivery to correct locations. • Teach Journeyman and apprentices our prefab culture. • Participate in site visits, estimate preparations, and estimate reviews as requested. • Demonstrate commitment to zero accidents, as every accident is preventable through training, risk prevention, and continuous improvement. What You Bring (Required Experience) • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). • Five years of related electrical experience. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Knowledge of the electrical construction trade and the National Electrical Code (NEC) is required. Bonus Points For (Preferred Experience) • Journeyman and/or Master Electrician License preferred. • Bluebeam knowledge preferred. JOB SUMMARY: The Master Electrician is responsible for installation, start up, and shut down of equipment; troubleshoot and repair of electrical equipment. This role will require a thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of carious materials, principles of operation and application of electrical equipment. This position is open on the weekend shift. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures in line with OSHA requirements. • Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment. • Plan electrical work utilizing thorough background knowledge of electrical/electronic and machinal theories and principles, local and national electrical codes, and properties of various materials. • Advise operators and maintenance technicians of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electric/electronic and machinal equipment components. • Inform appropriate management and maintenance of potential electrical/mechanical plans and inherent dangers involved. • Assist and train apprentices and technical team members. • Perform preventative maintenance functions as needed. • Maintains company required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment. • Able to calculate and install various types of transformers, fuses, circuit breakers, contactors, and relays. • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using electrical testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system. • Other duties as assigned. • Regular attendance is required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Diploma or GED. • Three (3) or more years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields, and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas. • Electrical Journeyman license, WI. Board of Electricity. • Master Electrician license, WI. Board of Electricity. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • A thorough knowledge in all areas of industrial electricity, electrical/electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes. • Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel, individually or in a team environment. • Must be able to interfere and communicate with operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting. • Computer experience and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming. • Ability to climb in overhead structures to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work. • Must be highly safety conscious applying all company rules and regulations. WHAT YOU WILL DO: As an Electrical Service Technician for our Crane and Hoist division, you will travel to customer job sites and manufacturing facilities to perform OSHA-required inspections, electrical troubleshooting, and general maintenance and repair on all overhead cranes and hoisting equipment. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at varied customer locations. • Conduct on-site electrical, mechanical, structural and electronic troubleshooting to determine the cause for equipment malfunction and establish the necessary repairs utilizing visual inspection, test procedures and appropriate test equipment. • Build relationships by consulting with customers regarding all repair and safety-related issues and discuss recommendations that will assist the customer with improving their material handling applications, prior to leaving the job site. • Complete and provide proper electronic documentation utilizing the established company digital tools required for each service. • Spot opportunities for value-added solutions during service visits and report leads to the service office, following established guidelines. • Participate in monthly safety meetings. • Provide support for outside sales staff and management. • Manage & maintain inventory in service vehicles (truck stock): cycle counts, stocking/back-stocking, and bin locating for all facets of truck inventory. • Assist with daily/monthly work lists: trailer, man lift & truck checklists, and inspections, when applicable. PAY RANGE: $30-$40 per hour, based on experience. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED: Crane & Hoist experience is NOT required.
