Maintenance Mechanical/Electrical Repair

Repair and maintain machinery and buildings. Instruct Class 06 Maintenance and perform shop assistance tasks as directed. 1. Receives instructions and job priority from Supervisor 2. Performs repair and maintenance tasks as directed on Unfamiliar work or unassisted on familiar work, such as: diagnose and repair, electrical and mechanical malfunctions or breakdowns, or production machines, material handling equipment and all plant auxiliary equipment 3. Disconnect, move, align, level, anchor and reconnect shop facilities. Repair and/or install or move building plumbing, heating and cooling, or electrical systems 4. Maintains company buildings and property by performing rough and finish carpentry and masonry duties as directed 5. Required to weld or braze and machine repairable parts and determine proper fits and tolerances for all repairs as well as replace new parts 6. Must wire all electrical circuits to code 7. Required to start up and maintain plant air compressor, generators and boilers 8. Cleans and refills pickling tanks and chemically tests solution 9. Must be knowledgeable in the use of all mechanical and electrical tools and testing equipment 10. Must have basic knowledge of carpentry and masonry techniques 11. Maintain a neat and orderly workstation at all times. 12. Perform all tasks in a safe manner and following established rules of conduct 13. Other duties as assigned.

Production Maintenance Electrician V

• Amentum is seeking a 1st shift Industrial Electrician V for our facility operations & maintenance team in Waukesha, WI. • Typical work schedule is Mon-Fri, 7:00am – 3:30pm; hours may vary based on business demand. • Weekend hours will be scheduled to support our 24/7 operation on a rotational basis. This position is responsible for providing an advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, servicing, project estimation of materials and labor hours, as well as documenting the electrical modifications and changes. Will work with equipment and systems related to HVAC units, motors, lighting systems, control circuits, pumps, VFDs, PLCs and chillers Provides instruction, mentors and trains less skilled technicians as needed. Effectively communicates with the site management team and the customer to understand requirements, solve electrical problems, and provide solutions to manufacturing problems. The Industrial Electrician V must have the ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. General Maintenance of equipment will also be required. Responsibilities: • * Diagnoses, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs electrical equipment and control circuits from 24v up to and including 480V AC, electro-mechanical test devices, instrumentation devices, PLCs / ladder logic controllers, and variable frequency drives as necessary • Execution of projects through assigning work, executing work and testing finished project. • Directs the work of unskilled and semi-skilled helpers assisting in projects, assuring that proper safety practices are followed • Perform work following standard NFPA 70E(NEC) as required • Read schematics and one lines in the effort to determine solutions for problems that arise • Perform safety and hazard assessments prior to performing any work • Inspection and documentation of findings • Communication to Client and management of issue found and work completion • Responds to calls and takes necessary actions • Performs preventive maintenance on industrial electrical control and operating systems as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). • Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance. • Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations. • Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis (two minute rule) and lockout/tagout procedures and utilizes PPE as required. • Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work. • Demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer. • Other duties may be assigned Within Amentum, our group provides facilities and production maintenance services for our clients’ industrial, manufacturing, distribution, pharmaceutical, and commercial sites worldwide. • * We run our own crews of Production Maintenance Techs, CNC Service Techs, Automation Techs, Industrial Electricians, Maintenance Mechanics, Industrial HVAC Techs, Logistics / Crib Management, Planner/ Schedulers, Supervisors and safety professionals inside our customers’ facilities to keep their infrastructure operating smoothly. • These are full-time, regular positions with Amentum that offer competitive pay and a full benefits package, including • Medical, Dental & Vision insurance • 2 weeks of accrued Paid Time Off per calendar year • 401k plan with 3% company match • Employee discounts • And much more – • And your benefits start the same day you do! Special Requirements: • * Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed. • Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained. Preferred Qualifications: • * Associates degree in industrial technology or certificate from an industrial electrical course 10 years of experience working as an industrial electrician Knowledge of lighting, lighting control and commercial systems. • Experience installing rigid conduit and EMT up to 3 inches • Working knowledge of NEC, sizing wire and transformers, calculating conduit fill. • Experience troubleshooting and replacing large 3 phase motors. • Experience with a CMMS or Maintenance Management System (i.e. Maximo, MP2, etc.) • NFPA-70E training preferred Other Attributes: • * Must be willing to work overtime when required.
