Senior Electrical Engineer - Autonomy

Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing in building ships for the United States Navy. We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer - Autonomy at our Marinette, Wisconsin location. POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Electrical Engineer's purpose is to solve technical problems, develop applicable documentation, and supervise all assigned resources to support the assigned project. The Senior Electrical Engineer assists the electrical group in determining the technical requirements of the project, defining resource requirements to achieve schedule and budget commitments, and solving technical issues as they arise within the field of competence. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Work independently in solving technical issues • Plan, estimate, schedule and monitor assigned work and the work of assigned resources • Able to track progress, report progress, recommend improvements to budget and schedule, and recommend reductions to budget and schedule • Capable to facilitate communications of issues and solutions throughout FMM, subcontract, or customers. Capable to mentor team members in effective communication techniques. • Capable to prepare, check and issue professional quality deliverables, mentor team members on improving performance deliverables, and mentor subcontract on improving performance of deliverables • Capable of interpreting contract requirements, applying to functional assignments, and able to mentor team members and subcontract in their understanding • Skilled to identify and develop contract change documents to support the project needs. Capable to mentor fellow team members and subcontractors. • Abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures. Mentor fellow team members and subcontractors in development, explanation, and guidance of policies and procedures. • Capable to lead or participate in product improvement projects and working groups • Proficient to define, track, monitor, and provide direction for subcontract activities. • Able to define, track and control subcontractor activities • Effectively supervise and mentor assigned resources during onboarding, skill development, or projects. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The Senior Engineer also demonstrates leadership skills that align with the mission, vision, and values of the Company. The Senior Electrical Engineer may directly mentor or supervise 2 to 10 employees. Mentoring and supervisory responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. An Engineer II may be included with interviewing potential new team members and training employees. With supervising, this may include planning, assigning, and directing work of assigned individuals, participating in the appraising performance, addressing complaints with development opportunities, and resolving problems. SKILLS • Must have 5 to 10 years' experience with Autonomous Systems of marine type crafts • Must have experience with electrical power systems proven by verifiable and specific work experience, technical publication, or patent issue. • Must have a working knowledge of standard shipbuilding rules and regulations, as well as the associated regulatory agencies and the review & approval process. • Must have current computer skills relevant to the field of competence. • Be familiar with EPLA or ETAP • Strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills • Strong 3D AutoCAD Modeling and processing skills comprised of the following: • Multiple layout drawings • 100+ tab drawings • Viewport manipulation • Layer management • 3-D clipping • Solids creation / manipulation • Blocks • Must have ability to work within schedule and budget restraints. • Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor. • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills. • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality. • A basic Earned Value Management System competency is a bonus • Process Improvement Specialist knowledge and experience beneficial. • Experience leading individuals and teams beneficial

Foreman - Hotwork (Electrical) - 1st Shift

POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for leading a crew of skilled trade personnel in an area of the manufacturing organization with responsibility for fabrication and/or assembly of product for the construction of ships. The Foreman will oversee safety and security procedures, implements organizational policies and goals, measures performance to budget and supports the management in budget analysis and adherence, assists in production control projects, manages work pack in accordance with production control plan, plans overtime and schedules resources as required, interfaces with management to revise project and facility objectives, understands and works within the union contract requirements.
