With over 27 years of excellence and a commitment to student success, we are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeping Associate to join our team and support our mission of delivering top-tier vocational training. Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable and organized Bookkeeping Associate to manage financial records and administrative tasks for our training programs. This role will support both Midwest Truck Driving School and North Country Electrical Line and Heavy Equipment School, ensuring accurate financial tracking and smooth office operations. The ideal candidate is proficient in bookkeeping, has strong communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. • Process tuition payments, invoices, and reimbursements for training programs, ensuring compliance with school policies. • Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports for management review. • Assist with budgeting and tracking expenses related to training equipment, facilities, and student services. • Manage student enrollment records, including payment plans and financial aid documentation. • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely payments and accurate order tracking. • Provide administrative support, such as scheduling, filing, and handling correspondence for office staff. • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including those related to FMCSA and vocational training funding. • Support office staff with data entry, record-keeping, and other clerical tasks as needed. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. • 1-2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience; experience with QuickBooks required. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic office equipment. • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and integrity. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and vendors. • Familiarity with vocational training or educational institutions is a plus. • Must pass a background check.
