Journeyman Electrician

*Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both industrial, commercial and residential electrical work, demonstrating proficiency with various electrical systems and tools. This role requires the ability to read blueprints and schematics, as well as a solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in compliance with safety standards. • Responsibilities* • This job will require the flexibility to work out of town, up to 5 hours away from Marquette, and up to 5 business days at a time. • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with NEC standards. • Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools. • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper functionality of automated systems. • Conduct low voltage and high voltage electrical work as required. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems. • Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure timely project completion. • Perform renovation tasks that may include frame carpentry and maintenance person services as needed. • Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies and procedures. • Qualifications* • Proven experience as an industrial, commercial and residential electrician is preferred. • Must have a valid driver's license • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications. • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters. • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately. • Previous construction site experience is essential; renovation experience is a plus. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required. • Must possess a valid electrician's license or certification relevant to the state of employment.
