We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Solar Energy Sales Consultant to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating leads, providing information to potential customers, and closing sales to help homeowners and businesses transition to renewable energy. You will educate clients on the benefits of solar energy and the financial savings associated with installing solar panels. Duties And Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Lead Generation: Identifying and engaging potential customers through various methods, such as door-to-door sales, cold calling, referrals, networking, and attending industry events. Customer Education and Consultation: Explaining the advantages of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental benefits, incentives, and rebates. Conducting site assessments to determine the optimal solar system size and design based on factors like energy needs, roof suitability, and sun exposure. Proposal Development and Presentation: Collaborating with design and engineering teams to create customized solar energy proposals. Presenting proposals to customers, addressing questions and concerns, and negotiating terms to secure contracts. Sales and Contract Closing: Closing sales deals and assisting customers in completing the necessary paperwork and contracts related to solar system installation, financing, and incentives. Customer Service and Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and addressing post-sale inquiries or concerns. Sales Target Achievement: Working collaboratively with the Company’s management to achieve individual Salesperson and Company sales goals. Market Knowledge and Adaptation: Staying informed about industry trends, new products, and changing regulations to effectively educate customers and address competitive pressures. Requirements Job Qualifications: • Requires 2-3 years of proven sales experience and a track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. • Ability to obtain or already has a California Home Improvement Sales License through the CA Contractors Board. • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and self-discipline. • Ability to build and maintain rapport with consumers. • Strong interpersonal skills to create buy-in from clients as a professional representation of Sol-Up. • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to communicate with staff and customers. • Ability to multitask and respond quickly while maintaining strong organizational and prioritization skills. • Proficient in using software and technology tools for daily functions. • A current, valid driver's license with acceptable driver record and reliable transportation. • Authorized to work in the United States. Physical Requirements Must be able to: • Lift or carry up to 30 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned. • Physically access all work areas with or without a reasonable accommodation. • Ability for prolonged periods of time to sit, walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel. • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment. • Work indoors and outdoors, be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, heat, cold, noise, dust, fragrance aromas. We are looking for highly motivated and reliable individuals to perform site surveys on residential properties on a contract basis. As a site surveyor, your primary responsibility is to gather home condition data, photos, and measurements through a guided template via mobile application. Punctuality, thoroughness, timeliness, and attention to detail, and professional customer service are critical for this position.
