About This Role As an Installer, your responsibilities are to assemble, install, or maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics. May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules. Responsibilities Work with a team to install the racking system and solar panels on residential roofs Structurally mount racking and electrical equipment and effectively seal penetrations Perform routine photovoltaic (PV) system maintenance on modules, arrays, batteries, power conditioning equipment, safety systems, structural systems, weather sealing, or balance of systems equipment Ensure proper job documentation is completed once the job installation concludes Interact with customers, answer and direct questions as needed Read and review blueprints and plan documents Install racking systems and modules, run conduit and wiring on roofs Apply weather seal, such as pipe flashings and sealants, to roof penetrations and structural devices Configure electrical wiring of the solar system (AC and DC) per plans and local codes.
