We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our team in support of a growing number of engineering projects. With increased activity across engineering groups and a rising number of interns and engineers, this role is critical to maintaining high-quality design output and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and revise engineering changes and complex mechanical drawings with minimal supervision. • Create and manage high-quality part models and large assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. • Generate product structures in PDM systems and conduct tolerance studies to ensure functional and manufacturable designs. • Interpret rough sketches and instructions to prepare layouts, schematics, and complete design documentation. • Review drawings prepared by other design personnel for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards. • Apply knowledge of materials, production methods, and manufacturing practices to improve design quality and efficiency. • Integrate quality, reliability, and safety principles into every stage of the design process. Required Qualifications: • Associate degree in Drafting or related discipline with 7+ years of experience, or 9+ years of relevant drafting/design experience without a degree. • Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD • Strong background in sheet metal and piping design • Proven ability to manage and work with large assembly files in a PDM environment. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong understanding of tolerance requirements, production processes, and design validation methods.
