RESPONSIBILITIES • Have a thorough knowledge of department and related components including location of switches, valves, and controls throughout department. • Must have basic knowledge and understanding of tool usage. • Must be able to perform minor maintenance such as: bearing replacement, chain setting, oil/lube maintenance and minor trouble shooting skills. • Must be able to work overhead on a ladder or scaffolding in high areas. • Must be able to stoop or bend to work below knee level. • Must take daily instructions from supervisor and carry out assignments and duties with little or no supervision. • Must be able to use precision instruments such as: torque wrenches, dial indicator, calipers and micrometers as the job requires. • Must be able to dismantle, identify, repair, and put back into service all types of machinery in the department in a timely manner. • Perform other duties as required.
