Mechanical Engineer 3 - Nuclear

Description You will be involved in nuclear power plant systems design, including preparation or review of: • Modification packages for operating nuclear power plants • Functional mechanical drawings and/or drawings for nuclear power plant systems • Engineering analyses and evaluations to support modifications and operation of plant systems • Technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment • Vendor bid evaluations for plant equipment • Studies and options evaluations for modifications to operating nuclear power plants In addition, you will have the opportunity to: • Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client-requested work scopes • Visit client office and/or plant site locations to interface with the client and make presentations related to engineering tasks and status • Lead engineering project teams Qualifications We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position. • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program • A minimum of 3 years of experience • Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants • PE license is beneficial, but not required Award-Winning Benefits At Sargent & Lundy, we care about the health and well-being of our employees. Job Description: Mechanical Planner / Scheduler Job Description at Brown & Root Industrial Services We are seeking a skilled Planner / Scheduler to support Maintenance services at the DuPont Experimental Station in Wilmington, DE. Roles and Responsibilities: • Prepare complete job packages (Labor, Material, Equipment) by conducting site walkdowns. • Update Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) with job package information, including repair, service to operations, and predictive/preventive field tasks. • Knowledge of piping and mechanical systems is required for detailed planning packages. • Provide technical assistance to support maintenance activities during shutdowns. • Draft master/discipline schedules to establish sequence and lead time of each operation, meeting client forecasted master schedule. • Keep clients informed through approved software. • Analyze production specifications and construction data, performing mathematical calculations to determine material, tool, and human resource requirements for the schedule. • Plan and schedule workflow for each craft and operation according to established client sequences and lead times. • Develop fabrication, assembly, installation, and other operations plans for guidance of Craft Skilled Trades. • The Planner/Scheduler consults with clients and construction management to determine project timelines. • Create lists of required materials, tools, and equipment. Prepare purchase requisitions to obtain necessary resources. • Proficient in creating Excel spreadsheets, SAP, P-6. • Lead Planning and Scheduling meetings, ensuring timely progress. • Must possess strong leadership and communication skills. • A solution-focused approach is essential. • Overtime may be required. Mechanical Installer Job Description The Mechanical Installer II position requires a moderate level of technical skill and mechanical inclination. The role involves working with both hand and power tools and previous experience in installation. Responsibilities • Install 20 robotic arms and approximately 40 sub-stations and internal site fencing. • Use power tools, manage materials using a pallet jack, and assist project teams by commissioning and cleaning warehouse spaces. • Move, strap, and catalogue materials using pallet jacks. • Build towers by following diagrams, using hand tools and air powered tools. • Run wiring for power supplies. • Engage in general installation labor, which may include moderate to heavy tasks, heavy lifting, material handling, and construction.
