Project Engineer - Dynamic Engineering

Projects include working with several Fortune 500 companies, as well as working with local and regional developers with varying degrees of complexity. • Review municipal zoning and land development ordinances and applicable agency regulations to determine land development limitations for the property. • Prepare Site Investigation and Due Diligence Reports to include the review of ordinances, utility service research, outside agency regulations and site visits to establish comprehensive development guidelines. • Prepare Conceptual Site Plans. • Prepare preliminary Grading Plans and Design. • Design of Stormwater Management and Stormwater Conveyance Systems, Utility Systems and Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Design Plans. • Prepare construction cost estimates. • Prepare project proposals. • Prepare and manage project budgets. • Project coordination with client, other consultants and project team for the purpose of preparing a comprehensive site plan application. • Prepare technical reports including drainage, sanitary sewer and site investigation reports. • Prepare written correspondence to outside agencies, client, contractor, etc. • Present to planning and zoning boards, municipal agencies and project teams. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. • 3+ years’ experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential, institutional, industrial, and/or commercial site design and permitting experience). • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) required. • Professional Engineer (PE) required. • Valid driver’s license. • Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle. • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D. • Knowledge of Truck and Turning & Modeling software. • In depth knowledge of the planning and zoning process. • Knowledge of Hydrologic and Hydraulic and Stormwater Design. • Proficient in design and drafting capabilities. • Proficient grading and drainage design skills. • Utility design experience including pump station and force mains. • Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals. • Proficient in the use of available mapping websites for due diligence and site investigation purposes. • Construction support experience. • Proficient in the use of the following design tools for site engineering • AutoCAD Civil3D • Hydrology Software i.e. Hydraflow, HydroCAD, PondPack • Hydraulic Software i.e. Hydraflow, StormCAD, Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA) • HEC-RAS • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project. • Proficient in the use of Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe to prepare design document markups. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Independent and critical thinking abilities. • Superior organizational and delegation ability. • Ability to work and lead in a team oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring. • Client management experience. This position will assist the Value Engineering/Risk Director in the development of strategic visions and tactical plans, contemplate and participate in the hiring process, manage workshare and project assignments and provide direct project support in leading select VE workshops, cost and schedule risk management workshops or other related assignments nationwide. Preferred Qualifications • Professional Engineering registration(PE) • Certified Value Specialist (CVS) with a minimum of 5 years participating (VE Team Member, VE Assistant or VE Facilitator) on VE workshops for major infrastructure projects. • Maintained client relationships with public agencies or other private entities and have a track record of success in this arena. • Minimum of five (5) years in leading cost and schedule risk analysis (CSRA) workshops and/or value engineering services for major infrastructure projects. • Experienced in development and management of strategic marketing programs. • Experienced in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits. • Experience with industry associations and maintains a visible profile in the transportation and other key markets. • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with client managers, technical directors, business group directors and operations staff. • Be willing to travel domestically up to 75% of their time.
