Mechanical Engineer I

Job Summary The Manufacturing Engineer provides the necessary link between customer requirements and manufacturing processes. Develops and improves manufacturing methods, applies lean concepts and techniques to optimize processes. REPORTING TO Engineering Manager Essential Job Function • Utilizes technical instructions to develop specifications for customer products. • Maintains engineering change control for customers part drawings and requirements using MRP software and Engineering Vault software. • Identifies appropriate materials and processes to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of contracted customer orders. • Utilizes CAD software and other design and modeling tools to aid in design and manufacture of tooling and machine components. • Analyzes and troubleshoots mechanical issues or failures to identify root causes and develop solutions. • Performs a variety of engineering assignments in developing and implementing production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner. • Assists in preventative maintenance planning and effectiveness for production equipment. • Reviews proposals of outside vendors regarding the purchase of new or modernized production/processing equipment and monitors equipment upgrades and improvements. • Continuously monitors operations to ensure compliance with approved methods and quality standards. • Assists with PFMEA, control plans and new project schedules. • Other duties as assigned. Electro/Mechanical Repair Technician Apprentice - Mechanical Experience Required

We are seeking a dedicated Electric Motor & Pump Repair Apprentice to join our team. In this role, you will learn and apply practical skills under the guidance of a skilled mechanic, assisting in various tasks such as inspections, repairs, and maintenance. Our ideal candidate has a keen interest in mechanical systems, an ability to learn quickly, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Ultimately, the role of the Mechanic Apprentice is to gain the skills necessary to become a skilled mechanic, capable of diagnosing, maintaining, and repair of motors and pumps. Job Description: • Disassemble electric motors, pumps, and electromechanical equipment with precision and attention to detail. • Perform both on-site and in-house repairs of various equipment, ensuring thorough diagnostics and effective solutions. • Prepare parts for repair or rebuild through meticulous cleaning, baking, and painting processes. • Drive company vehicles to pick up and deliver electric motors, pumps, and electromechanical equipment safely and on schedule. • Demonstrate physical capability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. • Maintain positive customer relations by effectively communicating with customers regarding order placement and detailed repair job updates. • Assist in parts procurement, including sourcing, ordering, and inventory management. Additional Responsibilities: • Provide administrative support in the office, including data entry, filing, and assisting with customer inquiries over the phone or via email. • Collaborate with the shop manager and technicians to coordinate workflow and prioritize repair tasks. • Utilize basic computer skills for documenting repairs, inventory tracking, and communication purposes. • Apply electrical knowledge and skills such as welding and lathe operation as required, contributing to the repair and maintenance process. • Actively participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge of new equipment models and repair techniques. Skills and Qualifications: • Mechanical experience is required; ( pump repair, automotive mechanics, machinery mechanic, industrial mechanic) additional training will be provided. Basic personal tools are needed. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with customers and colleagues. • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. • Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in email communication, data entry, and navigating digital documentation. • Knowledge of electrical systems and practical skills in welding and lathe operation are beneficial. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and repair methodologies. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Primary Responsibilities:Create and/or modify concept layouts, 3D models, assemblies, and detail drawings utilizing SolidWorks Computer Aided Design (CAD) with SolidWorks Product Data Management (PDM) software.
