Mechanical Technician – Packaging Industry

About the Role Responsible for the mechanical assembly and installation of industrial machinery in accordance with technical drawings and procedures. Ensures all components are correctly positioned and aligned, contributing to the successful execution of projects with a strong focus on efficiency, quality, and compliance with supervisor instructions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Assemble and commission equipment at TAVIL headquarters using the customer’s product to ensure proper operation and gain system understanding • Prepare auxiliary materials and machinery for shipment and on-site installation • Unload machinery at customer sites, remove transport fixtures, and manage shipping material returns or disposal • Assemble equipment based on engineering drawings; identify layout issues and collaborate on solutions • Align, connect, and level mechanical modules and conveyor systems • Anchor machinery to floor or ceiling as per layout; ensure smooth transitions between conveyor components • Support mechanical testing and system commissioning in coordination with the programming team • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards throughout the installation process • Recommend improvements and contribute to process optimization • Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant workspace • Lead or coordinate TAVIL personnel and subcontractors during complex installations COMPETENCIES • Flexibility & Adaptability: Responds effectively to changing project demands • Initiative & Problem Solving: Identifies and addresses technical challenges independently • Accountability & Ownership: Takes responsibility across all phases of the project • Customer Orientation: Maintains professional, service-oriented client interactions • Team Collaboration: Works well in cross-functional teams and contributes to group success • Quality & Precision: Maintains a high level of accuracy and compliance with standards • Clear Communication: Conveys technical information clearly in both verbal and written form EDUCATION • Higher or Intermediate Vocational Training in Mechanics TECHNICAL SKILLS • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial machinery assembly and commissioning • TIG welding experience (mandatory) • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and blueprint reading • Proficient with tools such as grinders, drills, torque wrenches, levels, and alignment devices • Able to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical assembly issues independently LANGUAGES • English: Proficient • Spanish: Advanced REQUIREMENTS • Valid U.S. driver’s license and passport • Certified to operate aerial platforms (scissor lifts, boom lifts) • Forklift certification per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 (preferred) • Willing to travel up to 85% (domestic and occasional international) • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Pennsylvania (preferably near Fredericksburg) • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred or willingness to obtain it • Comfortable working at heights using OSHA-compliant equipment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $63,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Benefits: • Health insurance • Paid time off Education: • Associate (Required) Language: • Spanish (Required) Willingness to travel: • 75% (Required) Work Location: On the road

Mechanical Designer

What you will do The Mechanical Designer provides drafting and design support for engineering departments by assuming drafting responsibility for assigned projects, recognize emerging authority at the site, and perform a full range of design work using advanced techniques/ methodologies requiring special qualifications/ attainments/ certifications and/ or advanced training. This position is onsite at our York, PA location. How you will do it • Prepare drawings of piece , parts, and assemblies involving selection of scales, dimensioning, detailed views, sectional views orthographic projects from sketches, layouts or verbal instructions, e.g., Sheet metal housings, etc. • Utilize Excel for macro language programs to improve CAD (Inventor) productivity by reducing or eliminating interactive commands to create repetitious geometry or drawings. • Prepare bills of material and prelists using computerized bill of material system • Proficient at using 2D CAD software in drawing, drafting and design tasks. Can develop complex top-down designs, and large assembly layouts. • Proficient at using 3D Solids/Parametric software in drawing, modeling and design tasks. Can develop complex top down designs, and large assembly layouts. • Proficient at preparing and producing sheet metal designs and drawings using CAD software • Check work of others that is similar in type and complexity to that which is personally performed. • Train less experienced drafters in areas of technical and practice knowledge. • Maintain established schedules and accuracy. • Demonstrate knowledge and use of codes or standards for design applications and conformance as related to job. • Demonstrate knowledge of manufacturing processes such as tooling limitations as defined by drafting manual. • Demonstrate knowledge HVAC principles as related to job. • Review project specifications and requirements to assure conformance of design and fabrication of product. • Independently uses mechanical design techniques when packaging mechanical devices with minimum assistance . What we look for Required • Associates Degree or equivalent experience • 5+ years experience • 3D modeling experience • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) Preferred • Experience working with Sheet Metal • Experience with leading design projects • Experience working on a manufacturing shop floor HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $27.40-34.61 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) Operations & Maintenance Technician Role EthosEnergy is seeking a highly skilled Operations & Maintenance Technician to join their team at the Ironwood Generating Station, a 720MW Combined Cycle facility in Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining the facility while on shift or with the maintenance team. • Key Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment. Required Skills / Knowledge • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of all facets of power plant operations. • Ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations. • Capable of writing operating procedures, work requests, and written records. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word. • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical one-lines, logic drawings, technical manuals, and P&IDs.
