Together. Every day. CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Commercial & Institutional – PM/CM Team at our Bethlehem, PA office. YOUR IMPACT: CHA is committed to delivering on-time, on-budget and high-quality projects, working closely with owners throughout the process to ensure success. We provide the necessary tools and skillset to effectively manage construction projects from schools and apartment buildings to municipal buildings and warehouses. The Mechanical Engineer, a key role at CHA, leads the technical execution of projects within his/her discipline and provides expert consultation in one or more areas of the respective field of engineering. At CHA, our Mechanical Engineer plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff. This key role provides guidance, mentorship, and technical review of work completed by junior level staff. This individual provides technical development of proposals and external presentations (i.e., clients, public, regulatory agency, etc.) The Mechanical Engineer resolves highly complex technical issues, and continuously monitors the progress and performance on a project to ensure efficient production and uncover potential problems. The professional in this role recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections following standard procedures and recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of design. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering required • Professional Engineer License (PE) required • Minimum of 10 years progressive commercial HVAC engineering experience is required • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline(s) with a proven ability to practically apply best practices • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) • Understands QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment; proven ability to lead a team • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences • Proficiency with MS Office software required • Active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred SALARY RANGE:: $105,000 - $126,000 Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
