A very reputable MEP Engineering firm is hiring for a Mechanical Designer that will work hand in hand with the mechanical engineers and act as their support staff. You will ultimately be helping with design/drafting but will also have the chance to be exposed to and work collaboratively in a cross-discipline environment, dive into helping project teams in the production of engineering drawings and project documents. Industrial Maintenance Technician Facility: Trenton Plants General Description The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs the necessary duties for machine maintenance and troubleshooting electrical systems. Specific Duties Follow all applicable environmental, health and safety rules and procedures and immediately report all dangerous situations, near-misses, and injuries. Participate in developing and updating risk assessments and review all applicable risk assessments annually. Install fixtures, motors, and other electrical equipment as necessary. Troubleshoot machine controls, motors, equipment, and associated wiring. Repair lighting and power circuitry, and associated equipment. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment. Inventory and order electrical material for shop stock. Order proper materials for job completion. Tag out and lockout procedures. Complete required records for work performed. Perform planned maintenance inspections, as required. Maintain equipment to ensure maximum reliability. Troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures and repair all process and plant equipment, as necessary. Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality, required. Steam boiler operation experience, desirable. Location and Travel: Travel is primarily in the North subregion but could include some travel to other subregions. The selected candidate for this position is expected to respond to requirements on a 24-hour per day, 7-day per week basis. The position requires approximately 70%-75% travel away from home. This position is residence based. The successful candidate should reside within 1-hour of a major airport. Qualifications/Requirements • Minimum 5 years direct experience in maintenance, start-up, and commissioning of industrial rotating machinery and plant equipment. • High School diploma • Practical knowledge of machinery overhauls and refurbishment. • Good organizational skills, the ability to work alone if necessary, and the ability to lead a crew. • Supervisory skills/experience. • Demonstrated safe work skills. • Fundamental computer skills. • Ability to work extended hours and willing to travel on short notice. • Must be able to work in an industrial environment which includes lifting and climbing. • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
