Role Description Form Energy is hiring a mechanical technician to support our operations team. This role reports into our Operations Sustaining organization . As part of our sustaining team, you will be involved in new process deployment and stabilization in partnership with production teams. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission! This opportunity is based out of the Greater Pittsburgh Area at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV. What you'll do: • From design specifications and blueprints, assemble, build, and qualify new fixtures, tools, and equipment • Work closely with designers and engineers in collaboration with cross-functional members of Form’s Advanced Manufacturing and broader technology teams • Participate in iterative build processes, confirming mechanical requirements are achieved • Perform hands-on assembly and building prototypes from designs • Work with engineers and technical operations to transition design builds from the prototype stage to high-volume internal production • Sustain high volume operations What you'll bring: • 3 – 4 plus years of industry experience in mechanical technician engineering • Hands-on experience manufacturing, assembly, and building equipment from blueprints • Proficient in basic hand tools, cordless drills, hand saws, etc. • Nice to have experience, manual mill, table saw, bandsaw • Design experience is beneficial (not required) • Excellent communicator across a range of engineering and business functions #LI-Onsite #LI-JM2 Humanity is a cornerstone of Form Energy’s culture, and we make sure our compensation and benefits reflect that. Role Description The Mechanical Engineering team at Form is focused on designing the battery cell, module, and system enclosure that forms the foundation of our innovative utility-scale multi-day energy storage system. We strive to deliver designs that are optimized for performance, quality, reliability, and cost for high-volume manufacturing at Form Factory. We're hiring an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead our newly formed Analysis & Mechanical Architecture team in Berkeley, CA. This team is focused on supporting mechanical architectural definition, structural and thermal analysis, and model validation to proactively ensure designs are performant, and optimally meet requirements. The team will work closely with cross functional partners such as EE, cell performance, and system modeling to develop cohesive system architectures. In this role, you will manage a team of design and analysis engineers in support of design and build activities on pilot manufacturing lines in Berkeley, CA, and production lines in Weirton, WV.
