Engineering Technician - Full-time

**Position Summary:** This position break downs and organizes simple to complex assemblies to create efficient work areas and plant flow across a dynamic range of process types. • *Essential Functions of the Job:** + Develop work areas within 2D CAD, organize work areas, implement 5s (e.g. shadowing boards). + Develop work instructions for a base line consistency and for process improvements. + Create 3D CAD designs to improve overall efficiencies (e.g. assembly tooling and material handling). + Utilize multi-level BOM’s to interpret engineering requirements as it relates to work being done. + Make ergonomic improvements to improve overall safety. + Perform other responsibilities of similar nature and scope as assigned. • *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):** + Excellent mechanical aptitude is required + Excellent blueprint reading skills + Computer skills required (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, J.D. Edwards) + AutoCAD required and Pro E knowledge preferred + Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Excellent organizational skills + Self-motivated with the ability to work with little or no supervision + A sense of urgency with the ability to meet timelines + Able to work extended hours to complete projects + Ability to physically lift tools, components, bins of parts, and miscellaneous parts not to exceed 50 lbs + Knowledge of GMS and safety systems to ensure compliance. • *Education and Experience:** + S.
