About the Role As a Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance at Picoma, a division of Zekelman Industries, located in Cambridge, OH, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Shift: 3rd Shift What You’ll Do • Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy. • Performs preventive maintenance checks on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. • Applies troubleshooting techniques to plant electrical systems, including Programmable Logic Controls (PLC), motors, drives, and relays. • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. • Fabricates repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, ensuring adequate stock and anticipating future needs. • Attends educational workshops, reviews technical publications, and maintains technical knowledge. • Communicates with supervisors to ensure smooth operations and build positive working relationships. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Requires regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per scheduled shift. Who You Are • High School or GED; Technical or Trade School in a related field preferred. • Certification for in-house Crane, Fork Truck operation, and other lift/mobile equipment required. • Some welding experience and experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. • Ability to stand for 10-12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
