The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing HVAC emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance, including changing filters and belts, while maintaining a safe work environment and effectively communicating with team members. Additionally, this role involves training employees and supporting the R&D Lab with daily problem-solving, quick fixes, and preventive maintenance. The Maintenance Technician I will also assist in various general facilities maintenance tasks as needed. Key Responsibilities: • Perform HVAC equipment inspections, preventive maintenance (PMs), filter changes, and belt replacements (most other HVAC work will be outsourced). • Conduct water testing (training provided). • Assist with general facilities repairs, including painting, wallpaper repair, and bathroom fixture repairs. • Support office relocations by moving and disposing of office and conference room furniture. • Maintain facility cleanliness inside and outside, including trash and recycling removal and management. • Perform snow removal, grass cutting, trimming, landscaping, and cleanup. • Ensure parking lot cleanliness and perform necessary maintenance. • Conduct painting tasks, including cleaning and prepping surfaces. • Fill in for other facilities personnel as needed and assist with overhead doors, rooftop units, and other facility maintenance functions. Basic Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Preferably an HVAC Certificate/Degree or Associate’s in Maintenance. • 0-2 years of experience in HVAC maintenance. • Ability to think outside the box, self-motivated, trustworthy, and willing to work in a dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience in facilities maintenance. • Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, or carpentry work. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
