This role will focus on designing, improving, and managing mechanical components for automotive or heavy-duty vehicle systems. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop automotive or heavy-vehicle components that are reliable, safe, and cost-effective. • Create and maintain 3D models, layouts, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using high-level CAD tools. • Manage and control design data using PLM systems such as Windchill. • Support design changes, improvements, and product updates throughout the product lifecycle. • Perform basic engineering analysis to validate design performance. • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and suppliers to ensure proper design execution. • Provide technical support for production and field issues. • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, drawing standards, and company procedures. • Assist in design reviews and support project documentation. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (accredited). • 3+ years of mechanical design experience in automotive or heavy-vehicle environments. • Strong experience with CAD tools. • Hands-on experience with Creo and/or Catia. • Working knowledge of Windchill (PLM) preferred. • Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle systems. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Good verbal and written communication skills.
