Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer – Automotive Location: Oshkosh, WI - Onsite Job Type: Full-Time Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Industry: Automotive / Heavy Vehicle Job Summary We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer – Automotive with 3+ years of experience in vehicle or heavy-equipment design. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD design expertise and hands-on experience using Windchill, Creo, and/or Catia. This role will focus on designing, improving, and managing mechanical components for automotive or heavy-duty vehicle systems. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop automotive or heavy-vehicle components that are reliable, safe, and cost-effective. • Create and maintain 3D models, layouts, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using high-level CAD tools. • Manage and control design data using PLM systems such as Windchill. • Support design changes, improvements, and product updates throughout the product lifecycle. • Perform basic engineering analysis to validate design performance. • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and suppliers to ensure proper design execution. • Provide technical support for production and field issues. • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, drawing standards, and company procedures. • Assist in design reviews and support project documentation. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (accredited). • 3+ years of mechanical design experience in automotive or heavy-vehicle environments. • Strong experience with CAD tools. • Hands-on experience with Creo and/or Catia. • Working knowledge of Windchill (PLM) preferred. • Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle systems. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Good verbal and written communication skills. Preferred / Standout Qualifications • Experience with high-level CAD and PLM systems. • Background in automotive, commercial vehicles, defense vehicles, or heavy equipment. • Exposure to design management or configuration management.

Mechanical Design Intern

THE ROLE As Mechanical Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to assist with design tasks to ensure the smooth flow of operations within the engineering department. We have both year-round and summer internship opportunities. This internship is tailored to candidates who are currently pursuing an associate degree in engineering design. YOUR IMPACT As a Mechanical Design Intern your experience may include: • Assist with mechanical engineering drawing, layout and/or electrical schematic preparation using computer aided design software • Assist with Bill of Material creation • Assist with the material selection for engineered parts • Assist in the creation of drawings using various dimensioning and tolerancing styles including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). • Follow drafting standards and department policies • Assist with engineering change notice preparation • Creation of parts and assemblies utilizing design for manufacturing (DFM) principles • Routing electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic assemblies MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Student working towards an associate degree in Mechanical Design or related field • Willing to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for the duration of the summer 2026 internship. Summer housing is available to interns whose permanent address is greater than 50 miles from their work location. Pay Range: $18.00 - $37.00 The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions. Mechanical Design Engineer

Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability. Perform and Directs preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material. Perform engineering analysis to support the selection of parts, components, and materials that meet requirements. Provide technical assistance for production support. Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering via verbal or written communication. Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations. Create and maintain project documentation for analysis, research, and historical records. Utilize analytical and mathematical approaches to calculate or model system performance and optimize designs. Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering and communicate status via verbal or written communication. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience. STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering. Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems. Experience with a high-level CAD system.
