As a CE Mechanical Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting facility operations. CE Mechanical Technician Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin 8 week project Pay Range: competitive What's the Job? • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, compressors, and other facility equipment. • Conduct inspections, testing, and repairs to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime. • Assist with system upgrades, replacements, and commissioning of mechanical infrastructure. • Monitor equipment for signs of wear, failure, or inefficiency and respond to alerts or error messages. What's Needed? • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in mechanical systems preferred. • 5+ years of previous experience as a Mechanical Technician, Maintenance Technician, Marine Engineer, Facility Engineer, or HVAC Technician. • Familiarity with 24x7x365 mission-critical infrastructure in a data center environment. • OSHA 10, NFPA 70E certified (preferred). • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field required. • 3–5 years of experience in reliability, test engineering, or related field, preferably with enterprise/AI server and storage platforms. • Experience running ORT testing, including environmental temperature/humidity chambers and burn-in environments. • Strong understanding of server architecture (CPU, memory, power supplies, I/O, fans, storage). • Proficiency with environmental test equipment and methodologies. • Experience with scripting or automation tools (Python, Bash, LabVIEW, or similar). • Familiarity with data analysis tools (MATLAB, Excel, Power BI, or similar). • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings clearly. • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. • Must be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
