Mechanical Technician (Electrical)

Independence Corrugated, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners is currently seeking an Mechanical Technician (Electrical) to support our Oak Creek, WI facility. As a Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot, install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on our industrial corrugated equipment and machinery. ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION: • Practice safe work habits at all times. • Demonstrate ability to parallel all rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products. • Demonstrate ability to teach other maintenance classifications in all qualification requirements and proper maintenance procedures. • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and replace all A/C and D/C drives and their control systems use. • Demonstrate ability to use all aspects of the maintenance software program CMMS. Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with Company guidelines. • Follow up all work in order to insure repairs and work are performed properly. • Maximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed. • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanicals equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operation manual’s and engineering instructions and specifications. • Willingly work all necessary hours and shifts and on short notice. • Diagnose malfunctions systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. • Help maintain good housekeeping in work areas. • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping. • Additional duties may be assigned by management. • Understanding of PLC, relay logic controls, AC/DC drives, hydraulics, pneumatic, boiler systems and controls, steam systems, machining, welding, automation and fabrication. • Preform physically demanding task, such as moving and lifting heavy objects. • Work from ladders, scaffolds and roofs to install maintain or maintain or repair electrical wiring and equipment and fixtures. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE: • High school diploma or GED. PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE: • Prior work experience in the corrugated industry REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: • Able to read and follow instructions on factory technical manuals and electrical prints and drawings. • Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation, preferred. • Product layouts and production specification, preferred. • Quality standards, preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear, stand, and sit. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Preform physically demanding task, such as moving and lifting heavy objects. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Mechanical Engineer III

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, the Mechanical Engineer will assist in the development of new engine components, system designs and test assets as well as the sustainment of existing models. This individual will primarily focus on engine development and validation including conceptualization, detailed engineering design, and analysis. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities listed below. Other duties may be assigned. • Ability to manage assigned projects to successful completion. • Design, develop, and integrate engine systems and components, starting with basic engineering analysis. • Select appropriate materials and processes considering performance, longevity, reliability, and cost. • Lead the requirement setting, approval verification and validation expectations for assigned systems, subsystems, and components. • Develop and create test standards and protocols; analyze test results, as assigned. • Proactively communicate with engineers, technicians, drafters, suppliers, and program managers to optimize engine design, reliability, and performance. • Design for lowest manufacturing cost consistent with reliability, performance requirements, and FAA certification standards. • Complete drawing preparation in accordance with ASME drafting standards. • Assist and provide input on continuous process improvement and implementation opportunities for new and existing processes. • Support production development, testing, including FAA certification, expectations as assigned. Qualifications Required: • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent • 5+ years of appropriate engine design experience especially with rotating assemblies, gear trains, pumps and/or supercharger/turbocharger machinery. • Excellent organizational skills. • Ability to effectively communicate with engineering, management, and lab technicians. • 3D CAD Experience (SolidWorks, PTC- CREO, NX, etc.) Preferred: • Member of SAE or other appropriate organization. • Advanced Engineering degree or certification. • Research & Development Experience. • Passion for engines, high tech technology, innovation, and aviation. • Knowledge of FAA certification regulations. Working Conditions This position is a professional engineering position, yet combined with occasional “hands-on”, assisting technicians working through challenges on the engine(s).

Mechanical Assembler

Aerotek is hiring mechanical assemblers for 1st shift! Assemblers will be responsible for team mechanical assembly of various railroad repair equipment and machines. Compensation ranges up to $22/hr based on skill-level and experience!
