Responsibilities • Create and detail drawings using Master Cam. • Create and maintain routings and bills of material. • Create work orders showing step by step manufacturing instructions. • Interface with customers, interpret their needs into a product. • Interface with manufacturing, purchasing and suppliers to understand material and assembly cost. • Optimize designs to minimize cost. • Interface with sales team to help develop cost. • Become the go-to person to assist with questions from manufacturing. • Maintain standard processes for the Engineering department. Minimum Requirements • Mechanical aptitude, familiarity with tools and machinery. • Experience in designing CNC and welded components in a CAD system. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Able to solve problems in a team environment. • Self-starter with a willingness and ambition to learn from others and seek out information. • Strong sense of accountability with a can-do attitude. • Experience or training in LEAN manufacturing tools and process improvement.
