Manufacturing Engineer

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. Candidate will train under current Engineering Vice President. Responsibilities include developing drawings, routings and BOMs for custom engineered products. Responsibilities • Create and detail drawings using Master Cam. • Create and maintain routings and bills of material. • Create work orders showing step by step manufacturing instructions. • Interface with customers, interpret their needs into a product. • Interface with manufacturing, purchasing and suppliers to understand material and assembly cost. • Optimize designs to minimize cost. • Interface with sales team to help develop cost. • Become the go-to person to assist with questions from manufacturing. • Maintain standard processes for the Engineering department. Minimum Requirements • Mechanical aptitude, familiarity with tools and machinery. • Experience in designing CNC and welded components in a CAD system. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Able to solve problems in a team environment. • Self-starter with a willingness and ambition to learn from others and seek out information. • Strong sense of accountability with a can-do attitude. • Experience or training in LEAN manufacturing tools and process improvement. Preferred Skills • Associate degree or Trade school training in a technical discipline. • Experience working in the stainless steel, high purity component market. • Experience designing machined and welded components. • Able to create drawings in Master CAM. Director, Engineering

As the Director of Engineering for Advanced Metal Solutions, you will be at the forefront of driving excellence in cost, delivery, and quality. Your expertise will be pivotal in establishing and implementing best practices across multiple sites. You will provide essential guidance and support in areas such as capacity planning, product placement, leveraged spending, standardization, new technology implementation, and operational excellence. This remote-based role involves overseeing operations across seven metal sites in NY, MA, IL, PA, WI, and IN. Main Job Responsibilities • Develop process to continuously monitor, update and sustain capacity data including accurate routers in Oracle. • Provide analysis of footprint and equipment capacity and develop an investment strategy to ensure future demand coverage while balancing the competing benefits of standardization and specialization. • In conjunction with VP Operations Engineering, VP Operations AMS and VP Operations PM and OPEX, drive OPEX Culture, key project execution, facilities strategy and Capital needs in order to support business growth and development. • Assess new business opportunities to assist in site selection with consideration to available resources, competitive advantages, and business continuity. • Develop cost savings plan including insourcing outside operations, leveraging spend, and process standardization. • Investigate methods to improve machine uptime including predictive maintenance, real time monitoring, quick / reduced changeovers, etc. • Help guide the investment in critical skills by determining capability gaps. • Assist in the professional development of high potential engineers in AMS. • Research, develop, and assist in implementation of new technologies. • Support and provide guidance as needed to Advanced Metal Solution sites in terms of structured problem solving, customer facing support for major programs and critical validations for new and existing programs , • Partner and build relationships with key suppliers and customers by collaborating on our top challenges providing technical expertise and problem solving support while integrating their input where appropriate. • Give critical input in all aspects of projects including: Design for Manufacturability, developing timelines, identifying critical paths, meeting customer expectations, resource planning, budget development, capital acquisition requests, and quoting. • The ability to gain support for multi-site initiatives • Key staff member on AMS leadership team with direct line reporting to VP of AMS Operations Position Requirements • 10+ years working in operations and manufacturing required. • 10+ years working in the medical device industry strongly preferred. • Experience in fast growing medical device industry, new product introduction, managing engineering teams and equipment purchasing machines desired. • Desired technological experience of metal machining, CNC, Swiss, Grinding, Laser Welding and Etching, Electropolish and Passivation. • Experience implementing lean manufacturing processes preferred. • Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change by mindful servant leadership • Demonstrate strong influence management skills to enable effectiveness in a matrix operating structure • Change management competence to facilitate organizational agility • Strong personal and professional judgment, which are invaluable skills for a role that makes hiring decisions as well as in finding the best solution to manufacturing process issues. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Education Requirements • Engineering or bachelor’s degree in a technical field. Physical Requirements • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, etc. to inspect parts, blue prints Work Conditions • Office Setting • Some of the responsibilities and duties are performed on the production floor, in a final clean environment, and/or in the warehouse of a manufacturing plant that can be hazardous and noisy. The worker may be subject to: • Inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change • Noise: Sufficient noise to cause a worker to speak loudly in order to be heard above ambient noise • Hazards: A variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to sharp metals and exposure to chemicals, oils and coolants. • Travel – the candidate should have the ability to travel 2-3 weeks per month or as business needs require. We offer market competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role is $180k-$225k. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Maintenance Mechanic

Requirements: • High School & Trade School Certification or similar diploma. • A License Electrician and experience with AutoCAD is preferred but not required. • 3 plus years experience working in similar position for an industrial manufacturing plant. • Mechanical aptitude with electrical, pneumatic and mechanical knowledge and training. • Maintain GMP standards with ability to lift up to 50lbs to 75lbs. • Prior experience repairing various mechanical components such as rollers, belts, gears, cams, chains, bearings, seals, levers, and equipment related to power transmission. • Experience working with industrial heavy equipment. • Hands on experience with robotic machinery & PLCs preferably. • Electrical background up to 480V 3-phase, some plumbing knowledge, PC/ skills. • Ability to work a 12 hour - three day a week (Wed, Thu, Fri) night shift with the requirement to work every other Saturday. • Must be currently authorized to work in the USA without the need for a visa sponsorship now or in the future.
