Position Summary: Under the direction of the Test and Genset Manager, the EMST-Test verifies proper installation and operation of power generation equipment and controls, meeting or exceeding company quality and production standards, and meeting customer delivery requirements. Essential Responsibilities: • Test diesel and/or gas fueled engine (s), generator sets, electrical control and monitoring systems, and ancillary equipment • Review engineering drawings as well as customer specifications to ensure accuracy • Develop test procedures in accordance with department standards and customer requirements • Maintain test equipment and tools • Act as technical resource for product field support of customers and service personnel assisting in addressing and resolving problems • Verify product quality based on work instructions and quality check list and follow standard process for reporting defective materials or questionable conditions • As needed, lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds of materials to assist in production. Learn and execute team lifts for items over 40 pounds. Adhere to all safety procedures including the use of personal protective equipment, navigating the plant with alert behavior, operating power tools and machines according to instructions, and disposing of waste properly • All other duties as assigned by management Requirements: • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience including the ability to apply math (fractions, ratios, measurements) and to read, comprehend, and convert instruction manuals/diagrams into work • Demonstrated success or certification in one or more of the following electrical applications • Proven experience and/or demonstrated aptitude to effectively use one or more of the following tools supporting Preferred: • Electrical competence with Analog Electronics, DC Electronics, Circuit Analysis, Circuit Design, or Micro-Controllers • Standard computer knowledge utilizing MS Office, Word, and Excel • Basic familiarity with Epicor or other ERP (SAP, JD Edwards) to access and enter information PSI offers a wide range of benefits from medical, dental, and vision to pet insurance as well as discounted prescription plans.
