Position Location: Muskegon, Michigan Production Office What You'll Do: • Design with Impact: Create innovative HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems from schematics to construction for diverse building types, including multi-family residential, commercial and industrial projects. • Analyze and Optimize: Perform load analysis, equipment sizing and ductwork design to ensure our systems are efficient and effective. • Get Hands-On: Dive into hydronic system design, domestic water, sanitary and gas systems, making sure everything flows smoothly. • Be a Fire Protection Pro: Scope out fire protection systems that keep our buildings safe and sound. • Craft the Details: Produce detailed technical construction specifications that guide our projects to success. Job Requirements What We're Looking For: • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. • PE License. • A deep understanding of construction codes, architecture, and engineering principles. • A team player who excels in managing and working with others. • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams on complex projects. • Experience with Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD is a plus. • Stellar communication, planning, and organization skills. • Willingness to travel and the ability to thrive in a hybrid remote work environment. Job Details Job Location Muskegon, MI Description Job Summary: Mechanical engineering within the Capital Equipment group of Brunswick Bowling Products. Products include center network systems, pinsetters, furniture, lanes and entertainment systems. Brunswick Bowling Products provides bowling equipment and software technology solutions to bowling centers, family entertainment centers, residences, hotels, bars, and other hospitality venues across more than 60 countries worldwide. Brunswick is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing and passionate team. At Brunswick, you'll have an opportunity to contribute to the company's creation, delivery, and support of Brunswick products and services on a worldwide basis. This position will work closely with the Capital Equipment product, service, and sourcing teams to concept, design, and develop new and improved products. Roles and responsibilities: • Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products • Analyze existing product designs to propose improvements in performance, reliability, ease of assembly and reduced cost • Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs • Perform engineering calculations to support design work • Create and review models, technical drawings, plans, and specifications using Creo • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, installation teams, and suppliers throughout the product life cycle • Provide post-production support as needed Duties and Responsibilities: (% increments must be no less than 5%) % of Time Spent Primary Duties & Responsibilities 35% Mechanical engineering activities to support new product development and product improvements. This includes planning, concept design, and creation of mechanical designs for new products, as well as analysis of existing product designs to improve quality, performance, ease of assembly, and cost. 30% Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, installation teams, and suppliers throughout the product life cycle 25% Assist with the maintenance of drawings, Bill of Materials, Engineering Specifications, and assembly instructions 10% Prototype development, testing, validation, and documentation. Qualifications Minimum Position Qualifications: Experience • 2-5 years of experience working in engineering • Firm knowledge of commonly used engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products • Solid knowledge of practices and procedures within engineering design, drafting and documentation systems • Current CAD modeling experience in Creo • Hands-on mechanical and troubleshooting experience maintaining mechanical products • Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability • Ability to evaluate appropriate data and make sound decisions • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. • Must be self-motivated and a great team member • High degree of accuracy, consistency and good organizational skills • Ability to read and understand schematics and data sheets for components • Comfortable supporting test lab activities • Comfortable supporting end users / customers Education Minimum BS degree with major in Mechanical Engineering
