Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Product Development Manager and Product Development Supervisor, perform all activities associated with conveyor design engineering. This individual will work in the Product Engineering department. The job will include engineering material handling equipment and subsystems. This may include close interaction with project teams in a positive and focused manner to achieve productive results. Clear inter-departmental communication is necessary, as are occasional customer discussions. The individual must provide accurate and high-quality work with minimal supervision. He or she must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to facilitate the daily requirements of our business operations in line with our customers’ needs. Responsibilities: • Report to work on time and prepared. independently to prepare technical drawings and bills of materials. • Exhibits the ability to document and communicate newly created Product Engineering documentation in a standardized manner that is clear, professional, and easily understood by the target audience. • Support Standards and Product Enhancement Engineers with assembly of prototypes, testing, demo loop operations, product maintenance, and ECN’s. • Support other departments within Fortna Conveyor such as Product Development, Project Management, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, Installation, Software Engineering, Lifetime Services, etc., and others as assigned or requested. • Demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles of mechanical machine design. The ability to work with mechanical drive systems, pneumatics, CAD, and ERP systems is preferred. • Ability to work through established designs with minimal supervision. • Effectively plan and manage daily tasks with time critical awareness. • Complete temporary assignments as required. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: • Effective communication (internal and external). • Exhibit growth potential with an interest in continued learning. Education and Experience: • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of mechanical or design engineering experience is preferred • Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel • Must be mechanically inclined and be able to make supervised field trips to work on conveyors. Trips may require off-hours, and/or weekend availability due to customer needs. Other Qualifications Desired: • Experience with: • Inventor or other 3D CAD systems • Vault Travel Requirements: Some domestic travel required +/- 10%. Depends on project needs and urgency. The base salary range for this role is $66,100 to $99,200. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance. Electrical Assembly Technician

We're looking for an electrical assembly technician to join our team. We're small specialty shop that designs and builds custom electrical connectors for automated production machines. Job requirements include: • Basic Assembly • Simple Manual Machining • Soldering • Wire Labeling • Wire Pulling • Crimp Connections Some experience is preferable but not required, any motivated applicant with good mechanical aptitude will be considered. Candidates must be able to think critically and work without specific detailed instructions. Everything that we build is custom and will need employees to look at drawings and determine what is the best process to use to build an item. This is a contract position for a few months. Pay is $18/hour and hours are 8am to 5pm. Must have reliable transportation. Interview process will include a phone interview. After the phone interview, we will ask for references to call and may need applicants assistance to get information from previous employers. After references have been checked we will go through an onsite interview process.
