Progressive Case IH dealership needs an experienced mechanic for Ag equipment repair and service work. Includes major mechanical work on gas & diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic trouble shooting, fuel systems, tune ups and all other phases of ag implement and equipment repair. We are looking for the right person, with great work habits and skills, wanting to advance their career. Duties to include: • Performs quality maintenance service work on customer equipment. • Accurately diagnoses and troubleshoots equipment problems and recommends effective repairs. • Determines parts and supplies required to make repairs and performs quality repair work on customer equipment. • Follows proper safety procedures when working under and around equipment • Meets all deadlines and schedules for completion of work. • May perform general assembly of farm equipment, outdoor power equipment, etc. • Travels to customer locations with company vehicles to service equipment. Must possess valid driver’s license and be insurable with company insurance company to operate company vehicles. • Occasionally operates a forklift to assist in working on heavy equipment; may assist in loading and unloading machinery. Reports and record-keeping • Accurately records information related to work orders, including time, work performed, and materials used, according to company procedures. • Accurately enters time and materials for service and repair work performed in order to facilitate correct billing to customer.
