The Design Engineer, Mechanical is a design position responsible for system design and electro/ mechanism design. This position can function as a technical resource for other team members. Further responsibility incudes evaluating the functionality/performance of own design. Essential Function of the design engineer, mechanical, include: • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision from initial task assignments/objectives to completion of the project. • Devises new approaches to design issues to obtain optimum solutions. • Applies relevant standard Engineering techniques, calculations, procedures, and criteria; commensurate with the area of specialty. • Understanding of product certification requirements (UL, CE, etc.) to enable design conformance. • Thorough understanding of reliability, concepts of life predictions, mean time between failure calculations, and design for experiments. • Participates in the creation of internal processes and procedures designed to ensure success in achieving goals and objectives. • Maintains follow-up documentation to report the performance of product engineering and improve product designs. • Participates in R&D exercises. • Participates in competitive analysis. • Proficient at performing all functions of Engineer, Mechanical role. • Maintains focus on continuous improvement through researching and sourcing innovative, cost-efficient business solutions and making recommendations to upper management. • Adhere to all Company policies, safeguard the company's interests and act in an ethical and legal manner as well as report all violations of Company policies and procedures to appropriate management. Mechanical Manufacturing Technician is an entry level position with no certification required. The purpose for an operator at this level is to learn and train on the basic understandings of all calibration specific operations. Mechanical Manufacturing Technician is expected to have the basic level ability to prepare and assemble components to develop final or sub-assemblies with direct supervision by a certified calibrator (level II or above). The operator will set up and operate production equipment to ensure flow, spray angle, and quality of spray meets product specifications and tolerance levels. The operator is expected to follow established standard work under general supervision in efforts to obtain certification. The operator will typically refer problems or deviations to more experienced operators including Lead Technicians, supervisors, or engineers. External candidates will receive a $3,000 sign on bonus. What You Will Do • Learn how to set up and operate test stand to check nozzles, spray bars, and valves for spray quality, angle, and flow according to specifications. • Learn how to set up and operate laser marker and printer according to procedures and specifications. • Learn how to record spray parameters by serial number.
