Mechanical Engineer

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Plans, organizes, and directs initiatives to meet company objectives for safety, quality, and productivity by optimizing mechanical systems, designing and analyzing components, and improving manufacturing and engineering processes. Focus on mechanical design, material selection, and system reliability for manufacturability and assembly. ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS • Evaluate mechanical systems and processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying expertise in mechanical design, fabrication, assembly, and materials; collaborating with equipment vendors and operators. • Design and improve mechanical components and systems by analyzing product requirements; researching, designing, testing, and modifying designs and methods for manufacturing and equipment. • Improve operational efficiency by analyzing workflows, space requirements, and equipment/plant layouts. • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing trends and data on mechanical systems and processes. • Lead capital projects including facility layout planning, equipment selection, and project execution to ensure alignment with company goals. • Collaborate on material allocation and production processes, including raw material planning, setup optimization, and economic lot sizing. • Analyze engineering proposals to evaluate feasibility, benefits, and cost implications, recommending appropriate actions to management. • Manage and oversee projects related to mechanical design, process improvements, and performance analysis. • Develop and monitor continuous improvement methods for mechanical processes, ensuring quality and efficiency enhancements are achieved. • Provide technical support for manufacturing, quality assurance, and safety processes within the organization. • Maintain technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing industry publications, and participating in professional societies. • Ensure compliance with safety standards, including hazard analysis, equipment inspections, and training to mitigate risks and enhance workplace safety. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. • Strong background in mechanical design, including proficiency with 3D CAD software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD). • Experience with thermal analysis, stress testing, material science, and other core mechanical engineering principles. • Proven ability to develop and implement solutions in manufacturing environments, including Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance related to mechanical systems. • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical communication skills. • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, tools, and processes, such as welding, machining, and assembly. • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies. • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with diverse teams, from shop floor technicians to executive management. • Passion for innovation and staying current with advancements in mechanical engineering and manufacturing technologies.

Responds to calls related to the electrical, plumbing, sanitary, HVAC, Natural gas, and hydronic systems and performs regular and emergency maintenance as required. Is familiar with emergency and isolation procedures to preserve life and protect property. • Is familiar with hospital systems. Troubleshoots and makes repairs as needed. Responds to calls related to Medical gas systems, Translogic tube system, nurse call, paging, code blue, trash and linen, sterilization, infectious waste, doors and locks, and elevators and performs regular and emergency maintenance as required. • Fastens or removes various items and equipment in a facility using proper mounting or removal techniques. • Evaluates and completes daily work orders and documents work and repairs accomplished in a timely fashion. • Assists with maintenance work as assigned. • Consistently demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the maintenance performance standards. Performs all functions within the scope of practice at a competent level. • All other duties as assigned. Additional Requirements Required: Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies Certification - Driver's License - State Preferred: Experience - 5+ years of Building Maintenance Experience Physical Requirements: Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Electrical Engineer

General Job Description • Utilize EPLAN to generate electrical schematics, 3D physical layouts, wire routing schemes and production instructions • Work with internal and external customers to determine electrical needs for their machinery and design Control Panels that solve those needs • Assist shop in solving problems related to designs, assemblies or bills of material • Export bills of materials, production export data of completed designs quickly and efficiently • Ensure designs are completed timely and in a manner that facilities error free production on the assembly floor • Wage is negotiable and DOE/Q. Responsibilities: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Experience engineering the electrical and mechanical designs for electrical control panels incorporating Motor Starters, Soft Starts, Variable Frequency Drives, Relays, PLCs and other essential components common to panels for industrial use. • Understanding of Feeder and Branch Circuits and power distribution within a panel for 230 thru 600-volt applications with power feeds from 25 to 1,500 amps routinely • Knowledge of MSHA electrical requirements • Familiar with drafting standards, symbols, nomenclature, engineering terms, proper use of reference materials and vendor specifications related to electrical control panels • Expert level knowledge of the UL 508A Standard for Industrial Control panels, candidate will need to have or obtain a UL Manufacturers Technical Representative (MTR) certification within 6 months of employment.
