We are seeking a skilled (PE or EIT) to manage the complete design process for mechanical systems. This role involves overseeing projects from the initial concept through installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring that all systems are efficient, safe, and compliant with industry standards. The Ideal Candidate • Lead the design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for commercial and industrial projects. • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. • Utilize engineering software and tools to create accurate and efficient designs. • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into overall project designs. • Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing any design-related issues that may arise. • If a PE, take responsibility for the stamping and approval of engineering drawings and documents. • If an EIT, work towards obtaining Professional Engineer licensure with guidance and support from the company. • Conduct thorough reviews of design documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in mechanical engineering. • Contribute to the development of best practices and innovative solutions. Mechanical Engineer- Department Lead (Ames)

Mechanical and Electrical Designer

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical and/or Electrical Designer with experience designing HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical power, lighting, or low-voltage systems. This individual will primarily be responsible for development of drawings of building systems either independently or based on input from other team members. Depending on qualifications, the candidate may also serve as the BIM coordinator for assigned projects. Candidates of all experience levels will be considered, but proficiency with Autodesk Revit software and understanding of building systems (mechanical, electrical, or both) will be required for the position. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and skills, and the listed values are an expected starting range.
