What we are looking for:Education [formal]: • High school education diplomas or equivalent required • Specialized training in refrigeration and plumbing related to refrigeration applications. • Universal EPA certification for handling Freon is required. • High and Low Pressure Boiler License preferred. Experience: • Minimum of four years experience working with a variety of refrigeration systems, hospital experience highly desirable or graduate of a Two year HVAC program. Special Skills and Competencies: • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems. • Proficient in interpreting drawings, details and specifications of refrigeration equipment. • Working knowledge of codes (UBC and local). • May be required to work after hours or weekends due to emergencies or in areas unavailable during regular hours. • Valid drivers license required. • Must be able to wear appropriate mask and be fit tested on an annual basis. • Possess knowledge of current local and state plumbing codes. What you’ll get to do Manage routine and non-routine mechanical equipment inspections and repairs on all major plant systems and mobile equipment.
