Textile Services Engineer and Maintenance- full time- Days

Employment Type: Full timeShift: Day Shift Description: The Textile Service Engineer maintains the laundry building, equipment, and mechanical systems in optimum operating condition. Maintains the highest possible quality, processing, production, sanitation, and safety standards in the completion of areas of responsibilities. Position Purpose: The Textile Service Engineer maintains the laundry building, equipment, and mechanical systems in optimum operating condition. What you will Do: • Performs preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on all equipment/mechanical systems in the laundry to maintain optimum operating condition. • Diagnoses and repairs problems on all equipment electronic/mechanical systems in the laundry. • Inspects building, equipment, and mechanical systems in the laundry, while recording findings and taking necessary actions. • Monitors the operation of equipment/mechanical systems and calibrates for optimum performance. Hours/Schedule: Full Time- Day Shift Minimum Qualifications: Education 1. High school diploma or certificate required. 2. Post high school education/formal technical training strongly preferred. Experience 1. Must have demonstrated competence of mechanical equipment maintenance and repair in an industrial/commercial/manufacturing setting, a minimum of 3 years required. 2. Some experience operating computers with a windows-based program preferred. 3. Must have demonstrated competence with low/high and three-phase voltage, HVAC, welding, pneumatics/hydraulic systems, and chemical systems, a minimum of 1 year required. 4. Must have demonstrated competence with microprocessors/PLC, with a minimum of 2 years of experience strongly preferred. 5. Must have demonstrated competence with troubleshooting electronics, utilizing recent technology in support of photo eye and proximity switches, a minimum of 2 years of experience is required. 6. Must have demonstrated competence with plumbing, knowledge of backflow assemblies, water softeners, and high-pressure steam, a minimum of 2 years' experience required, with a plumber’s license preferred. Special Skills, Competencies, and Aptitudes 1. Ability to understand equipment manuals and written/oral instructions. 2. Detail oriented with good organizational and communication skills. 3. An aptitude for record keeping. 4. Considerable independent judgment is required. 5. Must be dependable and be able to work flexible hours. 6. An ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical schematics/blueprints. 7. Must have good mechanical ability and equipment troubleshooting skills. 8. Ability to understand water analysis/quality issues. 9. Must possess a valid Iowa driver’s license. Mechanical Maintenance Manager

The Mechanical Maintenance Manager role is based in Mason City, IA, and reports directly to the Plant Manager. What you’ll get to do Manage routine and non-routine mechanical equipment inspections and repairs on all major plant systems and mobile equipment. Determine the strategy and execution of preventative maintenance and continuous improvement programs. Manage the allocation of mechanical maintenance resources and budget for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with the Electrical Maintenance Manager to provide oversight and leadership to the maintenance function by: Developing a long-term strategy for the Maintenance Department. Reviewing and approving bid documents and technical specifications. Coordinating plant projects and shutdowns. Identifying and implementing development opportunities for maintenance staff. Providing technical expertise to assist the production, process, and maintenance departments. Liaison with Lehigh Hanson’s corporate engineering group regarding maintenance activities. Provide ongoing maintenance support to the plant for all shifts by managing the plant’s maintenance on-call program. This includes evaluating and determining the course of action for maintenance incidents after hours and on weekends and may require on-site supervision of the resolution to maintain operational efficiency. Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of corporate guidelines, assessment of capabilities, training, and compliance. Proactively managing the health & safety of employees and deliver best in class safety performance. Essential Experience and Skills Strong understanding of preventive/predictive/corrective maintenance principles, techniques, and technologies. Prior experience managing staff in a mechanical maintenance function. Maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing. Strong understanding of preventive/predictive/corrective maintenance principles, techniques, and technologies. Demonstrated experience in project management. Strong management and leadership skills to ensure coordination of work and completion of projects and tasks. CAD software. Experience evaluating and presenting Return on Investment analysis and proposals. Experience in a union environment. Strong Safety orientation and habits. Preferred Experience and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Strong MS Project and Excel skills. SAP experience. Cement manufacturing experience.
