Maintenance Technician, Electromechanical Expert

Overview: Celanese is a Global company with facilities across the world where we specialize in a wide variety of products and applications. Our Winona, MN site is looking for a skilled individual to join our Maintenance and Reliability team. Winona Celanese boast a state-of-the-art production facility within the pultrusion industry. Responsibilities: • Perform Quality and Timely maintenance work. • Performs troubleshooting in collaboration with other work groups as necessary to complete task (Reliability, SME, etc.) • Perform and complete root cause analysis. • Identifies hazards and mitigates them appropriately. • Follows safe work procedures or adjusts working conditions. • Keep work area clean and orderly. • Reviews the job, understands the scope, and prepares pre-task plans to perform work in a safe manner and in accordance with Conduct Ops. • Identifies and corrects/takes proper action from any emerging issues or discoveries. • Provides feedback on task instructions. • Obtains the corresponding work permits and communicates effectively with operations (24/7 Team) or other impacted groups to ensure effective hand-offs. • Generates ideas and improvement projects/procedures. • Helps generate ideas for in-house cost savings/reliability projects. • Assist with Post PM start ups for maintenance return to service of equipment. • Strong Understanding of basic electrical function/knowledge (fuses, resets, low voltage repairs) • Ability to be in on-call rotation to support the 24/7 Team. • Works with Stores Program owner to make sure that parts are available when and as needed. • Communicates with Asset Leader if additional resources needed from outside Unit Team to safely or efficiently complete project. • Requirement to obtain Registered Unlicensed Electrician Card through State. • Requirement to obtain class C Boiler License. • Assist with Training of TRE’s on basic adjustments for equipment set up. • Assist in training of Process Experts in basic machine functionality. Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED equivalent required. • Mechanical and Electrical experience required • At least 5 years work experience running or maintaining pultrusion equipment preferred: Mechanical/Electrical degree in Lieu of experience • Strong understanding of troubleshooting procedures and Root Cause Analysis. • Strong Electrical Understanding with ability to obtain Unlicensed State Card. • Boiler License preferred: ability to obtain upon hire. • Strong Verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting. • Ability to weld; Basic understanding of metal fabrication.
