As a Technical Repair Specialist, you will perform thorough inspections, repairs, and replacements following established guidelines on various equipment, including trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles, and more. You will create and process work orders, conduct minor diagnostics with technical and electronic equipment, and identify needed parts and possible solutions. Your duties will also include conducting repairs and replacements, including repair of drivetrain components, communication equipment, and onboard technology, while adhering to company and regulatory guidelines and requirements. In addition to these responsibilities, you will communicate effectively with individuals or groups, including customers, suppliers, and associates, verbally and in writing. You will also receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling by monitoring the drop to ensure safety compliance, following procedures for fuel additives, and collecting and preparing fuel samples for analysis and shipping. Required Skills and Qualifications: • 2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance. • Valid state-issued driver's license. • Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25. • Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.
