Position Overview: The Mechanical Superintendent oversees the daily mechanical construction activities at the work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials and progress of the project. The Supervisor needs to be familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures in specified discipline. Must be able to read prints and do take offs for piping, steel and civil jobs. Ability to schedule out manpower as well as deal with emergency work with little to no notice. Manage Foreman in the field along with tracking the progress of the jobs. Lead the team in installation, assembly, dismantlement, maintenance, troubleshoot, and repairs. Strong knowledge of conveyors and pumps a must. Candidate must be able to set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment in a safe manner. Service and fix a variety of machines within the industrial setting to keep plant in continuous production.
