Engineering Technician III TCS is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) located in Bedford, Indiana. As a defense contractor supporting NSWC Crane for over 15 years, TCS offers a wide variety of logistics, programmatic, and engineering support services. We need an experienced Technician that is ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment. We invite resumes from all interested parties. Primary Purpose This position will provide technical support to the Platform and Launch Systems Division (GXP) at NSWC Crane with responsibility for performing maintenance, installation, fabrication, test and evaluation, sustainment, and troubleshooting support on a number of systems and subsystems. Essential Functions • Performs non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity, using operational precedents that are not fully applicable, such assignments that are typically parts of broader assignments, are screened to eliminate unusual design problems. • Testing & Verification of electronic systems and assemblies • Diagnose, Troubleshoot and Repair of electronic assemblies • Quality Control Inspections • Operate electrical test equipment to perform routine calibrations and testing procedures (e.g. impedance analyzer, ac/dc HI Pot tester, analog & digital multi-meters, function generator, mega-ohm-meter) • Perform electrical measurements of high voltage, insulation resistance (IR), continuity, capacitance, impedance, frequency • Perform various soldering applications on failed or new components • Perform parts preparation, parts assembly/build-up on refurbished, rebuild, or new build • Assist with final assembly procedures prior to final testing • Provide input into project processes and procedures. • Produce and review technical documents, drawings, and other forms of documentation. • Be able to read and provide input to electrical and mechanical drawings Experience And Skills • High School diploma required. Technical school diploma preferred. • 5+ years’ experience in an environment where troubleshooting, repair and testing of electromechanical systems and components is the primary focus is preferred. • Extensive knowledge in the use of hand tools, electronics test equipment and power tools. • Ability to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level.
