Job Summary: TCS is seeking a Systems Engineer (Engineer II or III) to support the NAVAIR Crew Served Weapons In-Service Engineering Activity at NSWC Crane. This role will focus on ensuring the safety, reliability, and maintainability of aircraft-mounted machine guns and gun mounts used by Navy and Marine Corps helicopters. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with hands-on experience in systems engineering, failure analysis, and qualification testing. Essential Functions: • Conduct Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) on guns and mounts. • Perform root cause analysis on failures and identify corrective actions. • Evaluate developmental designs for reliability and maintainability. • Develop test plans/reports and conduct qualification testing of new systems, guns, or upgrades. • Review and validate maintenance and operating procedures for completeness. • Establish inspection procedures in accordance with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) practices. • Develop, review, and implement approved Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs). • Collaborate with design teams to develop and evaluate system upgrades. • Review technical drawings and assign appropriate quality assurance provisions.
