Responsibilities • Oversee and maintain two laser weld cells, ensuring optimal operation and understanding the welding processes. • Work with 3D data scans to verify the accuracy and quality of welds. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in weld processes, such as pinholes and bad welds, by reteaching robots and adjusting settings. • Develop weld maps and balances to optimize the efficiency of weld types. • Progress towards becoming a laser weld safety engineer, which may require obtaining a certification. Essential Skills • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering. • 1+ year of experience in a welding or welding engineering position (1+ year with a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years with an Associate's degree). • Ability to obtain a laser safety weld certification.
