Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources • Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget • Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required • Prepares project reports for management, client, or others • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems • Coordinates project activities with Traylor personnel and joint venture partners • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the project; including safety, performance, budget, scheduling, equipment management and quality • Leads the project team • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws • Work with and be part of the estimating departments during project procurement phases • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management. Position Summary: Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and supervising construction projects by planning, organizing and controlling day-to-day tasks; complete quality inspections; supervises sub-contractors and field engineers. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, plans, specifications, contractual documents, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects • Provides critical information about the current status of a project and accurately estimates how it will finish from a cost and revenue perspective from where it started • Works closely with Walkers/Superintendents regarding project planning, field leadership, work plan development, submissions, and approvals • Conducts recurring team meetings to stay aligned with the expectations and goals of a project • Manages complex material supplies and drafts scopes of work for subcontractors • Develop work plans and hazard analysis plans for crews to follow to execute the work safely • Understands and promotes innovation for cost and schedule improvements • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications, safety standards, and productivity goals • Performs complex construction designs - SOE, Hydraulics, PLC, Marine, etc. • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management.
