More information is available on our website www.waupacafoundry.com Mechanical Maintenance (Manufacturing) ROLE: This role must be proficient in breakdown response and preventative maintenance to maintain a state of the art facility; must also be able to perform maintenance equipment repairs and tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Successfully complete safety training, and demonstrate ability to comply with departmental safety policy and guidelines • Participate in WF’s 6-S Program (housekeeping) • Demonstrate ability to utilize process control documents and Departmental Work Instructions (DWIs) • Make necessary adjustments to machinery to ensure efficient operations • May do fabrication, machine repair, installation, basic construction type work or other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: • Education, equivalent experience, or actively pursuing a degree in Maintenance related field • Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift • Solid work history • Good oral communications • Understanding and following instructions • Problem solving • Dependable and responsible • Positive work attitude • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule, while working without supervision • Must be proficient in the following: • Welding • Hydraulics • Pneumatics • Fabrication/Fasteners • Blueprint reading • Power transmission repair • Machine repair Education/Experience Requirements: • High School Diploma/GED equivalent If selected for consideration, candidates must successfully complete a selection process that includes interviews, aptitude tests, references verification, pre-employment drug screening, a pre-employment physical, and a job function test. Lead Engineer - Mechanical

Preventing and fixing problems on technologically advanced, high-speed machines that produce top-notch products for ¼ of the world’s population is no easy feat, but it’s worth it when you’re recognized often by your manager, supported by your team, and see the products you produce being used by your own family at the end of the day. In this role, you will: • Develop and deliver equipment and processes that meet safety requirements, policies, and guidelines. Provides for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel. • Manage multiple medium-to-large initiatives to deliver improvements to asset performance or plant systems; lead major initiatives for breakthrough improvements, solving higher level problems for the plant. • Identify cost savings opportunities and manage expense spending to asset budget. • Develop knowledge and skills in leadership of the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, LEAN principles, and project management. • Seek, recognize, define, and solve complex technical issues to root cause to achieve objectives. • Participate in the development of others within the area of the incumbent's expertise, including the creation of knowledge transfer documentation materials. • Support maintenance personnel when troubleshooting complex issues. • Identify and document issues and opportunities with existing equipment. • Lead a safety work team. • Partner with maintenance on reliability projects. • Assist in developing and managing strategic obsolescence replacement plan. • Assist team with trial planning and trial preparation. • Support assets using engineering knowledge, including being on-call and potential shift coverage. • Provide input to plant expense and capital plans. • Provide input to capital teams so proposed changes are in line with the 5-year vision. Involved with early design, technology, equipment selection, sizing, location, etc. Oversight and support during installation and commissioning. • Liaison with utilities/facilities teams so impact of operational changes is understood, and solutions are in place when needed. Responsibilities include development of mechanical hardware including concept generation, detailed design, prototyping, and design verification testing, regulatory approval testing, and launch support. This is a on-site position (not remote) and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship. Candidates must be US citizens or Permanent Residents. How you will do it • Work with a team of passionate engineers, program managers, product line managers and other professionals to create world class life safety products. • Analyze high level market requirements to establish design direction. • Prepare design concept diagrams, detailed drawings, and specifications. • Analyze designs for feasibility, cost optimization, vibration tolerance, mechanical stress, fluid flow, heat transfer, and other parameters. • Direct and coordinate prototype efforts. • Plan and execute test programs; analyze test data to optimize designs. • Maintain a working knowledge of manufacturing methods, design products for manufacturing efficiency. • Maintain knowledge of industry technology trends. • Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and test standards. • Prepare and present reports and presentations. What we look for Required • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering • 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, mechanical product development, fire protection engineering, or a related technical discipline. • Able to apply fundamental engineering theories, mathematics, mechanics, and physical science concepts to the job. • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, good written and oral communications skills, flexibility and adaptability to changing situations. • Ability to write reports and convey detailed technical information. Preferred • Familiarity with DFMEA (design failure mode and effect analysis) and DFAM (design for assembly and manufacturing) • Experience with phase-gate design processes • Ability for occasional travel • Proficiency of MSOffice, PTC Creo and Windchill HIRING SALARY RANGE: $68,000-$95,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
