Position Description: We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Team. This role can sit in any of our Michigan offices. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and3 to 7 years of related experience. The candidate should have experience working with HVAC and plumping projects for water/wastewater facilities. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment. Typical responsibilities include: • Provide technical planning, and mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing) design and construction support on various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects. Projects that may include combined sewer overflow facilities, pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants. • Prepare engineering calculations and support analysis of alternatives. Utilize effective technical writing skills to prepare technical memoranda to document alternative analyses, basis of design, business case evaluations, reports etc. • Prepare design reports and construction plans for treatment plants and pump stations using local and state standards • Prepare/assist with specifications and permit submittals • Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks • Monitor task budget and progress • Document design changes and communications • Conduct on-site inspections and technical guidance for start-up as needed • Prepare project status and other reports • Assist in the preparation of proposals • Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc. • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills • Maintain excellent client relations • Maintain a safe working environment Education: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required Skills/Experience: • 3-7 years of experience is required • Experience working with HVAC and Plumbing projects for water/wastewater facilities is required • Experience developing detailed design plans for treatment projects is required • Strong written and verbal skills are required About Wade Trim: Wade Trim is committed to maximizing the value of infrastructure investments. What You'll Do (Responsibilities): This role will be responsible for improvements to production equipment and maintenance system to increase reliability of the overall system. Work is of a technical nature and may involve basic engineering skills as well as data interpretation to identify opportunities for improvement. In addition to the following responsibilities: • Work cross-functionally with Launch Team to develop and implement effective preventive/predictive maintenance strategies for a new product launch. • Define and procure necessary spare parts for maintaining equipment at a world class level. • Develop standardized work task instruction sheet (TIS) for equipment repairs and Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks. • Effectively Pre-Task plan, prepare for, direct, and supervise skilled trades during improvement projects. • Utilize Maximo for documenting and scheduling PM’s and corrective work orders. • Monitor PM system for its effectiveness in improving reliability for area of responsibility. • Achieve PM system plan compliance goal for area of responsibility. • Assist in the diagnosis of equipment malfunctions. • Coordinate with production to complete equipment repairs and PM’s during opportunistic and scheduled downtime events. • Lead the Root Cause Analysis of equipment down time in area of equipment. • Support the Maintenance Team in the Business Plan Development (BPD) Process to drive continuous improvement. • Support the Maintenance Business Team in implementing and adhering to FEO policies and procedures. • Lead 5000 Account initiatives. • Established a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project. Has knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles. Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications): • At least 2 to 4 years of experience as: Miantenance Group Leader in Manufacturing Enviroment (preferred automotive industry). • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a similar field of engineering or equivalent experince. • Ability to work over-time and off-shift as needed. • Strong communication and relations skills in technical eviroment.
