Workshop Technician-Mechanical

Job Summary AeroTrain Corp. is seeking a production technician to work at our location in Flint Township, MI. We produce training mockups for aircraft maintenance training schools. We are in need for a productions technician with good mechanical skills and some machining experience. The work hours are 8 am - 6 pm Monday through Thursday, with three days weekend! The new hire will work with other team members to fabricate mechanical parts and to assemble the equipment. The job will include small parts fabrication, minor repairs, and mechanical assembly. some tasks may require parts disassembly, cleaning, and repairing and reassembly. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and dedicated to his/her responsibilities. Position Description: We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Team. This role can sit in any of our Michigan offices. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and3 to 7 years of related experience. The candidate should have experience working with HVAC and plumping projects for water/wastewater facilities. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment. Typical responsibilities include: • Provide technical planning, and mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing) design and construction support on various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects. Projects that may include combined sewer overflow facilities, pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants. • Prepare engineering calculations and support analysis of alternatives. Utilize effective technical writing skills to prepare technical memoranda to document alternative analyses, basis of design, business case evaluations, reports etc. • Prepare design reports and construction plans for treatment plants and pump stations using local and state standards • Prepare/assist with specifications and permit submittals • Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks • Monitor task budget and progress • Document design changes and communications • Conduct on-site inspections and technical guidance for start-up as needed • Prepare project status and other reports • Assist in the preparation of proposals • Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc. • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills • Maintain excellent client relations • Maintain a safe working environment Education: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required Skills/Experience: • 3-7 years of experience is required • Experience working with HVAC and Plumbing projects for water/wastewater facilities is required • Experience developing detailed design plans for treatment projects is required • Strong written and verbal skills are required About Wade Trim: Wade Trim is committed to maximizing the value of infrastructure investments. Department Head - Mechanical Engineering

Duties 1. Work with faculty and staff to support and sustain both the ME and the University’s mission and vision. 2. Recruit, retain, and promote quality faculty and student-centered staff. 3. Create an environment that supports faculty research and scholarly activities. 4. Work with various stakeholders to retain and graduate high-quality ME students. 5. Participate in various recruitment activities to grow enrollment in the ME program. 6. Collaborate with academic departments and support staff to provide an excellent learning and working environment. 7. Maintain ABET accreditation through continued program assessment. 8. Five or more years of experience related to leadership, management, and/or administrative responsibilities. 4. Experience with outreach engagement both in the public and private sectors.
